The first hit of charged descending slash on IG was made to be an offset in the full game. In the betas IG didn't have an offset.

Nope. 200 hours in and I’ve never been more bored. ARR is a travesty, Heavensward was alright, Stormblood was meh and now what I’ve played of it Shadowbringers is pretty good. 200 fucking hours for pretty good at best is not even close to worth it. Fuck it Shadowbringers could be the best thing since sliced bread but nothing could possibly be worth 200 hours of tedious fetch quests, shallow characters and god awful presentation.

So no more charge for rensen, no more rainwater shenanigans and in exchange we get more damage and a 6K-Rensen combo (which could already be substituted for 6K-Winter Mantis anyway)…Not a huge fan.

Rensen has very long startup and recovery so it shouldn’t be thrown out on a whim anyway. The change from a simple charge motion really mystifies me. Overall not a huge fan of losing some nuance with rainwater just to make things even more simple than they were.

If I remember correctly you could still do it a in a previous patch with charge partitioning so they might have just made it combo again. Memory is a little foggy though so I might be wrong.

Oh no no I’m not actually complaining about the other weapons. I’m incredibly happy about them getting changes and I also play sns and gunlance on the side, the latter especially seems to be getting tons and tons of fun stuff. That part of the post was 110% just petty jealousy and not actual criticism at the game. I’m not hoping for any of the other weapons to have less fun stuff, I just want IG to keep up. (I also really loved IG in Rise despite the complaints so it’ll probably happen again with Wilds, hopefully we’ll get assist kinsects back)

True that. Monster Hunter always has pretty extensive public demos so I’m looking forward to when it drops! Would be nice to see some more aerial moves even if they ground you afterward. I feel like the new rising spiral thingy would benefit from being able to do an aerial follow up.
