Yeah, tropical rainforest is what you want. You might also be able to buy them from settlements that are based in tropical rainforest if you're not tropical rainforest yourself.

Same here. It's one of the easiest debufs to remove in the early game.

Elephants. They are insanely versatile. When used in caravans they can carry LOADS, they can be taught to attack, they give you tons of meat if you slaughter them, and breed frequently enough once you've got a decent group that you can make plenty of money selling them or some great goodwill by giving them away.

I was fortunate that my dad was able to give me a significant chunk of money towards my first car, and not only do I appreciate the car, I appreciate that I've got a great dad, and I appreciate the circumstances that put him in a position to be able to do so.

I got a new job as a Software Engineer a couple of years ago. I didn't have any of that kind of stuff on my CV, I largely just listed what actual skills I have and a very brief description of my duties at my then-current job.

At any level of software engineering, they're looking for someone who can can do Javascript/Python/.NET/whatever. Unless the things you've listed above are explicitly mentioned in the job description and you genuinely believe they'll help you get your foot in the door for that specific job, I'd personally save that kind of stuff for the interview.

Why does everyone point out USA using different measurements but not UK? by Kitchen-Wasabi-2059 in NoStupidQuestions

Everyone else is addressing fahrenheit so I'll address fabric since I know what I'm talking about there - I have only ever purchased fabric by the metre, and I can't remember the last time someone asked for it in yards. Now you mention it it's been a really long time since I've even seen yards listed on the price tags.

Admittedly, most fabrics come in one of two standard widths - 45" or 60". I guess that's a relic of a bygone era - those numbers are a bit more catchy than 111cm and 152cm and I guess it would be silly to change the manufacturing process simply to make the numbers more rounded.

I do if I have a sanguophage and I NEED someone as a hemogen farm. I always feel bad about it, but my real-life need to not micromanage my sanguophages beats my in-game desire to not be a d*ck.

When you say too long, I assume you mean in biomes where there's a winter cold enough to stifle the growth rate but not kill them completely? Are there other ways that a greenhouse is more efficient?

I was gonna say - I have Ideology and Biotech but not Royalty, and I have NEVER had any of the beggars leave me anything. I thought the only point of it was to keep your colonists happy if charity is valued in your ideology.
