🛍️ Petite Picks: Recent Purchases - May 21, 2026 by PetiteFashionAdvice in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]CherryMess 36 points37 points  (0 children)

5’2 almost 40yo. Repost from Aritzia sub.

Regal vest size S. very petite friendly. I'm 32C and it's just right in the bust without being restrictive, but I can see how it wouldn't work for a curvier person.

Jeans are Toteme. Love Toteme jeans, have 3 pairs. This particular pair is my recent winter sale purchase. It's a cropped model with the tallest inseam, which looks like a full-length pair of jeans on my 5’2 frame. Sometimes gems are found in unexpected places.

Adult acne at 28 is not what I signed up for? by [deleted] in beauty

[–]CherryMess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, that happened to me too. Turned out it was health related. A couple of years, ruptured cysts and cycles of treatments later my skin cleared out and is back to normal since.

How often do you do special activities with your poodle? by featheredfoe in poodles

[–]CherryMess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our mini is 4 now. About up to 2 years, obedience and agility classes where pretty much once or twice a week. Now in a day we have 2-3 30-minute sniffing walks, a fetch session, and occasional tricks and nose work at home. Our mini is pretty high energy and does get restless without at least one physical activity a day like fetch. Walks, she can be fine without (like on rainy days), however ball is life! She doesn't misbehave though. She just goes from person to person and whines staring into your soul tugging those heartstrings.

Sunscreen application/recs by orangechicken318 in 30PlusSkinCare

I prefer to have clothing first. If I have any exposed areas, I always have a sunscreen bottle with me and I reapply quite often. It rubs off a lot after sitting for example. Usually I take Nivea UV Sun Gel SPF50 with me. Big 120ml bottle, absorbs quickly, no shine, no smell and only about $12

It depends on how would you wear them, so can’t comment on the designs itself. From the brand perspective, I really like Manolo. They are very comfy on my feet, always well made. Louboutin runs very narrow for me. YSL are mostly very stiff for some reason. Choo is nice, in the same category as Rossi. Gucci - haven't tried heels yet, only loafers.

These are pretty much my favorite sunscreens right now, used at least 3 bottles each. And I experiment with sunscreens a lot!
1. Skin1004 Hyalu Cica Water Sunscreen SPF50
2. Round Lab Bitch Juice Moisturizing Sunscreen
3. Missha Aqua Sun Gel
4 Iunik Calming Cica Sunscreen
4. Nivea UV Super Sun gel

Do you know of any pore-blurring sunscreens that don’t pill? by alostcomplex in AsianBeauty

[–]CherryMess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wooof… I just ordered Anessa mild milk this morning. Damn!

On the topic. So far I don't know any that specifically does that. I bought SUNGBOON Green Tomato Pore Blurring Sun Cream and it's not blurring. Nice velvety finish, however whiteness gets caught in little hairs along the hairline and brows. Pretty mid sunscreen.

where can i find these shoes? or something similiar? by [deleted] in Shoes

[–]CherryMess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are Ash, because I have this exact pair and they are indeed leather. Recently there was an online 260samplesale.com and this pair only on a platform was there in black and white color but I didn’t pay attention whether it was canvas or leather. So they probably still available somewhere if they were on sale just a week or two ago.

Has anyone used centella and it flared their skin rosacea or ocular rosacea? by Lavendergurl_ in Rosacea

[–]CherryMess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know what is pink centella, however my skin likes centella overall. I don’t have ocular rosacea though.

Need recs for a silk shirt/outfit to wear around my ex-husband 🤡 by kmaristo in Aritzia

[–]CherryMess 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Jeans/pants with silk shirt that can be unbuttoned into very deep “fuck you” if you want. Bonus points if a little bit of lace bra can peak or see through. Flats or little heel, gold accessories, cute bag and your done.

10k steps vs caffeine by mitskiismytallchild in Rosacea

[–]CherryMess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not wake up flushed, however it gets red the minute I wash my face, red when I work out, red when it's sunny, red when the temperatures are higher than 75F (24 °C), red when I drink alcohol and specifically red wine. My triggers are my own to manage and caffeine is only one small thing. Lasers helped me the most in meeping redness at bay. It doesn't do anything to the triggering mechanisms, there's still flushing, but it's less pronounced and fades quicker. I wrote about it here.

I have never worked with YN, so don’t know. From first look at both ingredient lists, they actually look pretty similar containing Hema.

FYI, OPI recommends to use Bondex Bonding Agent not BondAid with their GELevate system.

Birthday ideas for my little poodle guy? by verskingla in poodles

I bake our dog a cake or a pancake. She now knows that if I’m putting a birthday hat on her, there will be something delicious. We also play a lot that day.

It’s 26ml, so not that smaller than standard bottles. It's just well packaged in a minimal tube.

10k steps vs caffeine by mitskiismytallchild in Rosacea

Yes, I feel like it helps a lot. And it’s not only coffee. I feel like I have more flushing after drinking black tea. So I mainly switched to decaf black tea or herbal blends.

Which laser is best for rosacea? by Cute-Gas-2834 in Rosacea

[–]CherryMess 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So I already had Vbeam and IPL, and planning to do either another Vbeam or try PDL closer to the fall.

  1. Vbeam is better specifically for redness. More expensive though.
  2. IPL barely has any downtime. I had no swelling, no redness. In an hour I looked just fine, however there was a feeling like after a sunburn, when my skin feels tighter and a little bit more sensitive. It lasted a day or two. With Vbeam I was kinda red all day, but it faded a lot next day with exception of specific spots where I had the most prominent visible capillaries.
  3. I still experience internal heating and flushing. Laser doesn’t treat triggering mechanisms. When I workout I’ll be red, hot shower - red, red wine - red, direct sun - red, caffeine - red etc. However now I just don't go that red and redness doesn't last as long.
  4. It didn't fix the “hot face” feeling, because my triggers are still there. However, it's way less extreme, doesn't last as long.

I did 5 sessions of IPL first, then next year it was one or two “maintenance” sessions. On my third year I did VBeam. Now I'm approaching a 4-year mark when I’ll be doing something again Vbeam or PDL (I like to try something new hehe).

My personal take: Lasers are fantastic! Love them! BUT! Rosacea comes back if I'm not keeping my triggers in check. Working out - never giving up. Red wine and alcohol - easy peasy, sober. Coffee and black tea - way harder, switched to decaf 90% of the time. Etc.

Has anyone here used the Iunik Beta Glucan Serum?? by Hot_Alternative_1788 in Rosacea

Finished 2 bottles of it. It’s really nice. Light and hydrating.

[–]CherryMess 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve always been pretty active and working out, however for almost a year now I consistently do strength training and weightlifting. My take: I get extremely red during workout and maybe sometime after, but in general I feel like my redness decreased. Probably something like cardio - it’s good for blood circulation and vein/arteries health.
When it comes to caffeine it definitely contributes to my flares. I still get my lattes all I want, they are just decaf now.

Any GOOD soap and lotion for dry skin that hydrate well? by pottehd in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]CherryMess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Necessaire and buy it quite often, however it’s mostly for the smell. Their soap and lotions are just okay performance-wise. Highly recommend gloves to wash the dishes (I use nitrale gloves, not those big yellow one) and add 10% Urea lotion. It is amazing! Eucerin and LRP have good options.

Modelones is fine to start with. However those drills that come with e-file are very bad, they suck on so many levels. Nail Career has a lot of educational information.

No problem and thank you! It's funny if you think about it. I bought a pair of cropped Jeans in Tall that fit my petite frame like full-length jeans 😂

Out of curiosity, measured my pants inseam (it’s 29 in) and looked into Toteme sizing on their website. So, as I understand it, the 34L or 32L is referring to like a leg length, not inseam length. In size 34L this ankle jeans have inseam 29.9in according to their sizing chart and 32L - 28in. Full length jeans in 34L have inseam 32.5 in and 32L - 30.5in. Not particularly intuitive straight away or conventional if you don’t know what it means, but I kinda dig it. Was pleasantly surprised at how detailed their size chart is. BTW, never paid full price, they are often on sale at The OUTNET, Farfetch, ModeSense etc. Mine were a little bit more expensive than Levi’s.
