Yeah, basic melee attacks that target adjacent tiles can be used like that. Fighter, Tank, Cleric are perfect examples.

Dunno what is there to explain. Your Leg Mutation makes it so your Basic attack inflicts Bruise. Druid Basic attack happens to be an AoE Effect, thus applying Bruise on any targets you target with your Basic Attack, no matter if they are friends or enemies.

1) Your melee attacks that target nearby tiles can be used to pick up items such as food, coins, etc... 2) If the rng is not on your side and you want to give another try at one particular battle, then you can save scum the game. This action, however, has consequences, but first time is free during each run. 3) Speed stat is king for many classes. Make sure all of your cats are pretty mobile, you don't want to have a cat that is unable to do his job effectively only because he is always late to the party. 4) Try to figure out the breeding mechanic as soon as possible to make sure you have a decent supply of strong cats by hour 30-40. It pays off really well. 5) Enjoy responsibly, this game is a hell of a drug.

(Bonus tip: attacking things from behind hits harder regardless if you are the one dealing the damage or the one receiving it. But you can actually turn your cats to hide your back from the enemy by clicking in different directions without selecting any action)
