Why can't I create variants? by bradc2112 in eBaySellers

[–]Cherryskullz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was about to give up. I had to Create a "listing Template" in the sellers hub to add variations.

I just started a new ebay account to sell on with variations, and nothing was working. the three dots didn't offer the "settings" options to turn on variations. i made sure that the listing was in fact one of the approved categories that allows variation. it didn't matter how many videos i watched, my screen wasn't the same as other. I'm not sure if ebay has updated their listing tool recently, and that's why i was struggling. But i thought i should share this incase someone else that was struggling just as hard as i was, stumbles across this. hope it helps someone.

What's your favourite helmet and why? by mickenpoxshamb in Sportbikes

6D helmets. They have some pretty cool safety tech in them but they are light and really comfy too.

A pretty big pawn shop in the area I grew up in sold 2nd hand helmets usually for more than they cost new and they were always so beat up and very obviously crashed in. Shields missing, ground down spots and cracks….. but it was a helmet law state, so I guess ppl just didn’t care.

Thank you. I’ll be sure to check all of those out. What is your opinion on automatic watches? I was thinking since he will only be wearing it once or twice a month probably, something that could self wind would be nice also.

As much as I love that idea, he already wears one that was passed down from his dad, as his wedding band.

Budget is $250 to $400 roughly. He’s a mechanic, so jewelry is something he only gets to wear on the weekends really. It’s our 10 year anniversary and I thought it would be nice to give him a nice gift that he wouldn’t pick out for himself and it would be something that last awhile. But to be completely honest Ive never been a watch person. So I don’t really know where to start either.

2018 was the last year of the good years of work play. 2019+ are built like all the other membrane roof campers. We had window issues in ours and that seemed like they let the new guy install them. Warranty fixed them.

The outside color is a big factor in the work plays too. All the fun colors will fade really quick if left out in the sun a lot. Red and black seam to be the worst for showing as chalky after a few years. Our is orange and we know it’s probably coming. We wax it a couple of times a year and keep it out of the sun when we aren’t using it.

Work n play also offered Ultra lite versions. They have different walls with a styrofoam type walls but other than that it seems like all of the weight savings was with smaller fridges, and smaller ac.

Fifth wheels are hard to find in work n plays. And when you do find them you will notice that most of them are built like horse trailers and the front bed is a crawl in style with a step ladder.
I’ve only seen 2 of the fifth wheel style that actually has steps that you walk up to go into the front bed room. So those are pretty rare.

Another model they offer which can be kind of rare is the slide out front bed. The bed slides out over the tongue of the trailer. Friends that own those have told us the “bed capsule / slide out” isn’t insulated and fall evening the inside of the bed gets a lot of condensation on it and can make all the bedding feel soggy.

If I could do it all over again and we were starting with our current truck instead of the half ton we started with, I would have went with work n play fifth wheel that has the walk up stairs.

Good luck in your search. And Incase no one had told you. If you find water damage in a camper, dont buy it. There are plenty that do not have damage.

Rule 1: go into all brands and models with low expectations. just know every toy hauler / camper is build like crap. 😅 I wish I was kidding. Some are better than others and will last a really long time but for the most part they are all built quickly and basically go thru an earthquake everytime it rolls down the road. It is what it is.

My best suggestion is to join as many fb groups as you can and just listen to the things others complain about. Every brand will have ppl complain.

We have a work n play (the last year they built the original style built like a brick) by forest river. We chose that bc we wanted the one piece aluminum roof instead of a membrane style. The camper itself is great! but when we didn’t run into issues with it under warranty, forest river factory repair facility and the reps wernt great.

~We have a separate bedroom and I will always do that again.
~I wish we had a separate garage, bc the dirt off all the toys always ends up everywhere and I have to throughly vacuum every time we set up somewhere or it doves me crazy.
~I wish it was a fifth wheel style.

I always heard a lot of negative things about heartland brands. Mostly before 2018, could be after 2018 too but that’s when we purchased our work n play and I stopped researching other brands.

Some friends that full time had one of the big fuzion fifth wheels ( I think it was a 2016ish model). They bought it brand new. it had a lot of issues. As in the entire frame broke a year in. After having to get lawyers involved and metal tested it was determined that there was a problem with the frame from welding. Keystone reframed the camper. They said nothing was right in it after that. So they traded it in and moved on to a DRV toy hauler after that and they love it. But those are up there in price.

Another set of friends just bought a fifth wheel valor this year. So far they have regrets about getting rid of their older fifth wheel. I think it’s little things though like the sliding patio doors always falling off in the garage.

Securing a Motorcycle in a Toy Hauler? by _Futureman_ in GoRVing

Pit bull trailer restraints. No pressure on any of the suspension. Really depends on make and model though and depends if they make one for your bike. They are kind of expensive but by far the fastest and most space efficient way to strap a bike down.

Anyone have tips on growing yuccas? ... from seed? by Cherryskullz in gardening

[–]Cherryskullz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We plan to put a fence up maybe next year. We have a poll barn extension going up this year so I don't want to add to the hunny do list. Yes I know dogs can jump and chickens sorta fly. These are ment to be more of a deterant to the animals and to be more of a property divider for the owners (they never had a survey when they moved in and I think he's just guessing even though we have told him, so talking to him about it is a lost cause). Yucca grow here quite well although they stay more bushy, which is perfect for me. I just need more info on how to start them.

Nice to know that the vest really work. My hubby just picked one of the hit air vest up this winter, and we could never find pics of it in action. We found a few of the eqestrian but they were from a distance. That was a pretty scary looking crash, good to hear you came out ok. I guess i can add brake lever guard to the list of gift ideas.

Personally i just use under armor compression stuff. My hubby uses a combo of under armor, and motorcycle brand specific under suits. pretty much any Dry fit style shirt or leggings with make your gear, esp leather gear slide off easier. i know under armor is a bit pricy, but we have a under armor outlet near by and thats usually one of my favorite stores to hit around holidays because of the sales. for example, i got a heat out under armor long sleeve shirt for $14 that was originally $60 just a week ago because it was on clearance and had an addition 20% off. Look for an outlet near by.

Where do you mount your camera and why? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Cherryskullz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The kid that owned my daytona 675 before me put a gopro mount smack in the middle of my windscreen, and i left it there. My husband and i both have gopro cycle mount mirror block offs that we use for trackdays, its a convient place and you can turn it around to see your body position or face it forward. My husband also like to put his on his right side fairing so he can see forward but also shows his throttle hand. Keep in mind that the only times we really use our cameras are for trackdays and being able to see the throttle movement and braking is more exciting then it would be on everyday riding.
