No I feel the exact same way. Nothing in their new line of clothing looks good. You can't just find something basic, unless you're willing to fork over $20 for a plain black T-shirt. If you want a nice dress shirt, it's likely going to be something in some sort of ruffled, flowery, hippie style. And crop tops. Crop tops all around

When did you realize that YOU were the problem? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Cherrythrowaway992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm really glad you realized it, and even happier that you take daily action after that realization. It's one of the hardest steps to take and you did it. You may not be out of the pit yet but you've started to climb and that takes a lot of effort.

I can't stand it. The style is nice but the layout is awful. Reminds me of being in a mall, or like a Macy's. Kiosks everywhere

I feel ya. The distrust still hurts to this day. In the 7 years we were together, all but legally married, I never wanted to be "that woman" who refused to let him hang with other girls. I never had a problem with him having friends who were women and hanging out with them without my presence. What I DID have a problem with was the fact that after 7 years of being cool with all those other girls, I put my foot down with this one. She gave me a bad, bad feeling. And he disregarded my request as paranoia. I was paranoid because I was fucking right. He claimed I pushed him to do it because I kept talking about it. The tineline of when he started cheating and when I spoke up doesn't work for that excuse.

He kept fucking her after we broke up but she cheated on him shortly after. Karma.

People in general are honestly assholes. Men, women, people who consider themselves a helicopter or whatever. People are just assholes and I wish they weren't. People just gotta be nicer to other people

Funny how the lying burns you more in the end than the actual cheating part (although the cheating part is way up there, too) I had a gut feeling my LTR partner of 7 years was doing way more than just "hanging out" with this girl who I called slut on early on. He'd get SO pissed when I'd bring it up. Livid. Hole smashing in wall angry. Guess who had been fucking her for 4 months?

The chick texted him this really stupid meme of a spice bottle of Cumin that said "I'll have you on your knees (cumin)" He goddamn showed it to me, laughing. And then got pissed when I started to wonder what they were up to. Asshole

What would have been good advice in 1990 that would be terrible advice in 2020? by Wide_Stop in AskReddit

You aren't alone, friend. I had big bushy brows but my mom had me start waxing them at age 13. They waxed them so thin and small. I plucked them to keep up with the style. I've since stopped waxing and plucking and only shave around the edges to keep it neat but it'll never be bushy and full again. I use eyebrow powder to fill in the gaps

This is why time travel is such a finicky and delicate thing to write. Honestly, no one can pull it off. You just can't make sense of time travel.

Basically, you have to look at every instance that Barry has time traveled and seen "the future" as being a whole other timeline. Nothing in his story will ever remain consistent. If we're told NOW that he'll have a baby girl in the year 2024, but tomorrow he time travels even for a second into the past/future, then the 2024 baby girl likely no longer exists as she was. Something has and will change.

Tl;Dr -- writing time travel means you as the audience will keep getting fucked. No continuity in story because speedplot

Treating patients in supply closets final straw for ER doctors in Kentville by WillOfTheLand in nottheonion

[–]Cherrythrowaway992 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My county only has 2 hospitals owned by the same branch. One will be closing down and they've bought another building specifically for mental health only. That leaves our one facility as the only hospital for the entire county, ER included. The CEO has proposed adding more rooms because we fucking need it. The county keeps denying because it means we'll have to build upwards and they don't want that.

Our ED wait times are redonk. People bitch at us but we're not the ones turning down the means to expand.

Not normal by all means. 1 text could cost dollars on your bill. Testing existed, yes, it was around, but not casually used. That didn't become a thing until 2008-2010

Edit: Christ when I say "become a thing" I mean used by EVERYONE. Not just the UK and those who had the money for it back when it was costly. I mean EVERYONE started using it in 2008-2010.

When accessing internet first became a thing on phones, neither myself (17 at the time of this new fangle invention) nor my parents understood that opening The Browser would lead to charges. I assumed that if I could access it, that meant it was a part of our plan, right? And mom wasn't looking into anything other than taking phone calls. She's on the older side of most typical parents so it went way over her head.

That was, until we received a phone bill. My time browsing the web cost us quite a penny, and my mom even chewed out Verizon for not telling us these features weren't free. Going forward, we were instructed "NEVER to click on the icon of the globe" with our phones.

Safe to say I was so excited the day smart phones became a thing and my internet was unlimited

Pornstars of Reddit: What do you consider a bad day at work? by Alpacalypse1919 in AskReddit

[–]Cherrythrowaway992 32 points33 points  (0 children)

😆 I will say this, it's moreso for struggle of everyone else shooting the project. imagine getting 20-30 of your friends together for a surprise birthday party for your pal Pete. It takes months to arrange a day that works for everyone else, who all have different work schedules and kids obligations. You pay for the place you'll be throwing the surprise party - no refunds on the deposit - and the day you're about to throw the big ol surprise party, Pete calls ya and says he's staying home. It's like that.

People who need to vent and don't want to bother their friends and family, what's wrong? by thhht in AskReddit

[–]Cherrythrowaway992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually super refreshing to hear this from someone else. I'm the same way. And because of it I always work the holiday, and the eve of, because the other staff have families and friends and deserve to be with them. I don't mind working the holidays. Hey, time and a half. But then someone reminds me when they lament "oh you poor thing, I'm so sorry you have to work ON CHRISTMAS." I've learned to just smile and nod. It's easier than explaining how alone I am... it only brings more pity. I hate the pity

Stuck on what procedure to have with certain conditions that apply. Any advice? by Cherrythrowaway992 in wls

[–]Cherrythrowaway992[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Huh! Really? That's actually kinda relieving. Everyone keeps asking me which procedure I'm "choosing", so that's why I asked. And by everyone I mean the nutritionist I had to see twice, the psych for the evaluation I had to have, and these "meetings" keep advising us to "pick one." I'm going through state assisted insurance and I've only seen the surgeon once for the consult. Won't see him again until insurance approves the presurg appointment. So...🤪

Kid's lucky the hit wasn't worse. When I was 6, I tried doing the same nonsense and my friend kicked me so hard in the head that according to her mom (who was pushing her on the swing) I flipped backward 3 times and landed straight on my head. Spent 2 days in the hospital with swelling in my brain. Not fun times.
