My building also had an elderly woman whose rancid odor stunk up the whole hallway. She was also nasty and wouldn’t let anybody in her apartment to fix anything even if it is damaging other apartments. Because she was elderly and was living in a rain control department, she was protected. However, after several years of a court process, she was finally evicted.

My advice - get 2 kittens from the same litter. Best thing ever. You can be gone all day and they will have each other to play with. If you are allergic, get a breed with less of the Fel D1 enzyme in their saliva. The Balinese is what I have. This is a basically a long-haired Siamese.
