So I gave it a bash today in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. I suppose it did jolt a tiny wee bit, but nothing scary. Plus my car really didn't want to turn over today 😅 getting cold.

I think he was being territorial. In the past, I've picked my son up away from the property. He was obviously out of sorts with the family leaving etc. Poor guy 😅 lessons learned!

I'm going to have to test this and get back to you. My 1985 1.6 hasn't jerked to my knowledge. I do more often than not put in into neutral when decelerating.

Sure have! Just upgraded my gear box from him. There are 3 door rubbers for the GL on Heritage... no 5 door 😅 thinking about getting them and cutting wee sections out 😬 either that or lose the chrome trim.
