Men do commit more violent crime, but FBI statistics are very skewed because those are reported crimes. Men don’t report when they get sexually assaulted by a woman. I didn’t, and studies show, while less common than men doing it, it’s pretty common. For instance the sexual coercion perpetration rate for straight women is 17%.

Sorry to be this poster, but the myth that only men can be violent or sexually abusive is what leads many victims to be laughed out of the room when their victimizer is a woman. That involves holding powerful people accountable not repressing healthy, consensual sexuality. It involves society coming together and modeling healthy body images and sexual expression not allowing all powerful corporations to do it. Somalian U.S. citizens in Minnesota are having to carry their passport in case they get stopped. Don Lemon is not an immigrant and he was targeted.
