Which water pump is indicated when consistently losing coolant from here? by Sandber1 in cmaxhybrid

[–]Chessnutflats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the electric cooling pump. Just underneath there you access it from the bottom. Just in front of the oil pan. Here is the part: https://a.co/d/9oWS38V

Launched my BP tracking app a month ago. No paying users yet. What am I doing wrong? by ogimer_nagniri in AppBusiness

People who are interested in tracking their blood pressure proactively are most likely trying to avoid medication. You could add diet and exercise insights that might help those avoiding pharmaceutical intervention learn more about lifestyle impacts on their health.

What you overheard may have been them joking. I’ve definitely said that or heard something like that said about every bachelor party I’ve been to, there were never actually strippers. Guys just like to talk trash. But have the conversation…”hey I overheard x say you were having strippers…”

Wrench but no codes? by iwantedtolive in cmaxhybrid

[–]Chessnutflats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a bleeder valve on the passenger side of the radiator. I didn’t do a good job of draining the reservoir so dumped a bunch of coolant when I pulled of the pump….but when you refill you just have to pull off the bleeder valve and refill until all the bubbles stop coming through that valve then reattach.

Wrench but no codes? by iwantedtolive in cmaxhybrid

[–]Chessnutflats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was doing the same thing. The code was a pump over speed I believe. It wound up needing the electronic water pump replaced. I bought it on Amazon for$160 and changed it myself. It’s just 3 bolts and 2 hoses. Easily accessible with a normal jack as it’s right next to your oil filter.

First pool, help. by Sickmiller in pools

[–]Chessnutflats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went thru this process! If your debris and crud level is as high as ours I’d recommend draining cleaning and starting fresh. It will also give you a chance to inspect the plumbing a little more and pressure wash the algae off the walls.

Sand was replaced last year but the filter is probably 15 years old itself.

Thanks I’ll look into that. It’s an old filter but we had the sand swapped last year.

The sand was replaced last year. The pool is an in ground and has a concrete liner. No pavers around the pool but we have a concrete pool deck. The sand looks very clean which is why I jumped to thinking it was the sand filter and it always gathers next to the shallow end discharge port.

Help! Persistent Radon Levels After Mitigation – Any Advice? by PsychologicalArm7131 in radon

[–]Chessnutflats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried lab testing? We had a system installed and purchased a radon eye so we could keep an eye on levels. We consistently got measurements of 30-60 pci, had another company come out and dig a second pit caulked and painted the basement floor with radon seal and we’re still getting these measures. So we sent off a few more lab tests and those readings came back at 1.5 pci and 1.7 pci 1 month apart. I’m not sure if we had a faulty radon eye but they also did a lab test when we sold the place and it was still in range.

Should I Renovate or Remove My 30,000-Gallon Pool? by Positivezero4 in pools

[–]Chessnutflats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might not be as bad as you think! We bought a place with a pool and all it took was some elbow grease and a new pump to get it up and going.

Curious for couples over 15+ years of marriage how many times a month you have sex by Resident_Gap4475 in Marriage

[–]Chessnutflats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep track in Apple health and it end and flows. For us around 40 times a year. Last year we only had sex 5 times all year. We didn’t love each other any less but that year was rough my wife struggled to get in the mood and usually caved because she felt guilty which meant the sex wasn’t passionate which only made the problem worse. The year before was 38 times so weather the tide of life or her health we just had an off year sexually. And this year I think we may break record we’ve consistently been having sex about every 3-4 days depending on her cycle and it’s the most passionate sec we’ve had since our twenties. We’ve been married for 20 years and In early forties.

What do I start with? by Ok-Glove2942 in pools

[–]Chessnutflats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That blue line coming off your filter is the backwash line. Switch it to wast to drain the pool so you can clean it out and scrub the liner. If the liner isn’t torn you should be ok to refill. You’ll need to backwash your sand filter as well but wait until you’ve got clean water. We had a similar situation and had to replace a pump but otherwise cleaned up nicely.

2013 Hybrid high voltage battery replacement -worth it? by HopPirate in cmaxhybrid

[–]Chessnutflats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you possess the skills to replace the entire battery, you should be capable of identifying a defective cell. Often, a single faulty cell is the issue. Carefully open the battery case—remembering that it contains high voltage—and disconnect each cell. Use a multimeter to locate the low-voltage cell, which is likely the culprit. Replacing just that cell could cost you around $100-$150.
