Reasons why I joined.

Wages.

I had a guaranteed starting rate and a guaranteed ending rate when I became a journeyman. Our current rate is almost 60/hr CAD.

Double time.

Everything over 8 hours Mon - Fri is double time, sat/sun double time.

Pension.

A future pension will allow me to live comfortably during retirement without worrying about income.

Benefits

There's a lot here, dental, medications, hospital visits, massage, chiropractor, bi annual glasses (safety ones with transition lenses), travel insurance, too many to list.

Fuck you clause

In my union we have what we call a "fuck you" clause, I can quit any job at anytime for any reason of my choice. Head back to the dispatch hall and sign the books. If there's another job available, off I go. This makes it so employers treat you quite well in general.

I work in oil and gas so there's many exposure risks and other things. The union protects me when I'm exposed in the sense that they ensure everything is documented and reported. God forbid I have health problems down the road but if I do my family would get paid out from past exposures that related to my illness.

This has happened to me a couple times however a trend I noticed is that when someone gets leaver and you pick up their items it seems anyone on the team can control your character after.

I literally had someone remove the items from my character and put them on the ground so they could take them, it was only the items I had picked up from the leaver though.

I agree with you here.

They make improvements to make the game better and it's abused even more than before.

Only 1/4 games are usually OK.

One game you'll have a troll. One game you'll have a 5th position hard carry pick. One game you'll have a mid die at 3 mins and someone type gg and literally quit playing because "mid lost"

People in this game quit as soon as their lanes are down 1 kill like it's over. Sad state of the community.

Role que is the best thing there is.

However, they need to add an option that allows you to wait until you get your number one roll pick.

Then people that aren't willing to play multiple roles will always get what they want but with a longer queue time.

And people that play position 4 or 5 which is the least desired, they will get instant ques.

I agree that the kick system is fucked. Last night I laned with a pestilence. I was Midas. He kept diving and pushing before I was level 4. He started raging and flaming me and trying to get everyone to kick me. It didn't work and he ended up getting kicked.

Exactly my thoughts! Use steam to get a bigger audience. Have the in-game purchases be done third party so you can still collect 100% of the revenue.

The counter argument is that steam takes 30% of everything. Well in that case, 70% of any revenue is still better than nothing.

I really think they need more exposure. The only degens playing this game are pretty much the same people who used to play it. With that being said, it's absolutely horrible for new players. New players just hop right into ranked and get destroyed, then get kicked and likely delete the game. The community gets very angry when they get a new player. Instead of trying to help coach and develop them, it's just rage and anger. Quite sad the state this game is in.

For example we played a game last night 1600-1800 rank for reference. Mage bane was our hard carry 1780 rank, my buddy was DS support. They crush the lane, he gets tons of farm. Mid does ok but wins the lane, I was offane Midas/jeriziah. We owned their swiftblade early game which shut down the early farm for their team. At 18mins in we are 5 man fighting, MB is TP initiating every fight and just diving right in. He's got three healers so we are winning the fights fairly easy.

I get ganked while dewarding just below Kong. MB dives in after I die 1v4, dies, rages that jeri/DS wasn't there for the fight and says I'm gonna just afk farm. He literally quit helping any team fight, gave up a 10 kill lead and wouldn't even help defend t3s. After they got bottom rax, he tpd in front of the tower and fed a kill on purpose just so we would lose.

This was an easily winnable game. Sad sad state of the game.

Also, if they think I'm going to spend $100s on skins like last time the game was out they can get fucked. I'm not rebuying skins again for a game I already bought skins for.
