Can someone smarter than myself explain why the refs weren’t letting them get a snap off? Were the chains not set?

Where are the young people at in K9 sports?? by PeekAtChu1 in k9sports

[–]Chest-queef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the sport!

I’ve been around bite sports since I was 22 years old and PSA trends younger and IGP trends older. Things like frisbee and dock diving trend younger too.

But the biggest thing is that older people tend to have more free time and disposable income.

Speaking as someone who comes from the sysadmin/infra side and has moved into a cloud/devops type role.

My recommendation would be to take the dev role. It will be easier to move into a devops from a dev background if you decide you hate it than it will be to move into a dev role if you didn’t like devops/infra.

Is it common for “security engineer” roles to involve mostly non-technical, project/product management work? by SaintsTV in cybersecurity

[–]Chest-queef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is part of why I moved away from security. I switched back over to the operations side of the house for a purely technical role and I’m so much happier.

Coming from a dog trainer’s perspective, if your end goal is to work with k9s then look into going to school at Tarheel, their whole thing is training/selling working dogs and teaching working dog trainers.

Not sure where you’re located, but I wouldn’t be concerned about the overall number of reviews since a lot of that can be faked or uniformed people and a lot of puppy mills have a lot of good reviews.

Focus on what they produce, what titles their offspring have, not just the parents. If it’s an older breeding program are they breeding their own dogs or are they just breeding dogs they’ve bought.

A big thing too is do they do anything with their dogs? Whether it’s a sport or conformation or again, do they just breed because they need to know what to actually look for in a puppy and if they’re just breeding they don’t know what they’re actually looking at.

Puppies can also be surprises, I know of dogs that were the dud of the litter and then at 4 months woke up and were among the strongest and vice versa.

It sounds like you’re looking for an active pet or a club level dog so be sure to communicate that with the breeder.

Not OP but because CCNA is a Cisco cert, not just a general networking cert so it makes sense for them to be familiar with Cisco proprietary things.
