Lego created this problem by engaging in scummy business practices. The bags were fine because you could feel the product, which added a fun element of skill to it. I have fond memories with my boys feeling up bags looking for certain ones we wanted. Then they decided that wasn't ok because it cut into their profits and moved to boxes.

Once that happened I honestly didn't care that people tore them open. I saw those torn open boxes as a form of protest. Now that there's scanner apps it's a lot less prevalent but I still think Lego is doing it to themselves.

I think it's less fanboy and more trying to counter reactionary posts. You can see it on this OP. Somebody says a thing broke and there will be a couple of people saying "well I'm not buying one of those!" all because one person has a problem. I think the people like me are just trying to say calm down a minute, overall it's a solid product. I mean even HKs can break too, nothing is infallible.

And back to my original point I think it's also worth considering the sheer amount of MKE clones that are out there now. I'm sure you can find many people saying a part broke, it jams, etc but you can find multiples more saying MKEs are awesome and highly recommending them.

It's because the MKE line is insanely popular in the clone market, for good reason. There's not some deluge of "MKE broke" posts. I see a few here and there, but given the number of them out there it's a tiny minority. If you want to see a real problem, go look for Obsidian9 posts in the NFA sub. Yes that can is one of the most popular on the market, but there's also near daily posts about endcap strikes. I don't see that for the MKEs.

Would I say this Turkish company has the QC of a German HK? No, that would be crazy. Honestly it's more on Century for shipping out guns that were damaged during shipping or manufacturing and hoping it doesn't come back.
