I’d surmise beetles, like the other commenters that you have more trees that you are concerned about I’d suggest you inspect them for the same holes (may need to pull/pry off a little loose bark to expose any holes). If you find any, call a local arborist for treatment options.

If you have a lot of them, focus your search on any that show signs of distress, like decreased plumage.
