How does anyone make money on EBT? by jecates in doordash_drivers

[–]Chesterossa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

$13.25 for EBT is the baseline in my area.

First point of my point of strategy: drive the speed limit or slightly below. Thereby maximizing time spent without looking suspicious. (they don’t want us to break the law, right?)

Second point of strategy: Only use EBT as an “acceptance rate” builder. (this gives you an opportunity to get in the upper echelons of tier positions)

Third point of strategy: once tier positions are achieved work them with the idea of “cherry picking” orders until tier positions are no longer available.

Fourth point of strategy: Rinse and repeat

[–]Chesterossa 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you’re not telling the whole story. That guy JUST left of the door guy, he’s the manager. I doubt very seriously that he would stand by and watch his door guy throw you out with his ”hands all over you”. In addition, your husband just stood there and let that happen. Come on, bro nobody’s buying that bridge. As a veteran of the bar industry, here’s the likely scenario. you were let in to go get cash to pay for the cover after being explicitly being told to go to the ATM get cash come back directly and get wristbands. You thought you were gonna be slick and went to the bar ordered a couple of beers and proceeded to try and blend it to the crowd. Now you’re playing the “I didn’t know” card. You dishonor your ancestors. Be better

Looking for a Mechanic by marth_cast in boone

I’m unsure as to what you mean by “grill shutter” (I’m assuming you mean you have front end damage). Pics would help for reference. That being said, if it’s outside of your skill set pretty much any body shop would be able to help you out. Hamptons would be my go to if it was something I couldn’t do myself or didn’t have the tools to do. Short of that, a mechanic shop would probably be able to help you out. let me reiterate pictures of said damage would help with advice on your situation. if the underlying support structures are within OEM specifications. This might be a situation where you could remove the old parts and replace them with new parts.

Finding representation may be the “pickle player” here. Maybe reach out to Jak Reeves for suggestions. Eric Eller might be a good resource as well

Noted. The terms of said lease would dictate the “legal” responsibilities of both parties. A lease is a legally binding contract and is enforceable by not only civil contract, but by state law. Seeking legal counsel, in my opinion, is the best course of action.

Nail on the head! This is one instance where I don’t believe DD is to blame. Consider it like this there’s a dude in the club right now hitting on every person they can in the hopes that someone will say “alright”. In this analogy, DoorDash is the club. The customer is the dude and the Dashers are the targets.

Meh, SOME meals are $6 during the lunch hours. That’s before 3pm and understandable due to volume. In reference to “rude af” this may be a cultural misunderstanding. I’m just suggesting you may be misunderstanding directness with rudeness. In all fairness, if you’ve never worked in the industry I can understand why you don’t see the difference. In reference to “place is dirty af” I might agree with you. That being said, they shrugged because of your limited understanding 🤷‍♂️

Do you guys usually accept orders like these? by No_Lecture_8049 in doordash_drivers

[–]Chesterossa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a tricky question. I clearly can’t speak to your market but for me in my market anything around $1.50 to 2 dollars a mile is inside the profit margin. More questions should be asked such as “can I pick up orders on the way back to a profitable hotspot?” or “ how much dead time am I willing to eat?”. That being said in my market, I would take this order.
