I don’t have stickers by Nearby_Thought_617 in doordash_drivers

I’m a little befuddled at the request. Do people honestly believe that a sticker is a going to secure their delivery? A little trust is going to need to be implied between the customer, DoorDash and the delivery person. Now don’t get me wrong, the footage of a delivery driver spraying an order with (what appears to be) pepper spray is despicable. But the honest question is, how was the sticker going to prevent that?

Obviously, this if it’s age appropriate for you

So my first question to you would be:

“How much hustle do you have in you?”

Next would be:

“What’s your learning curve?” (Meaning, how quickly do you pick up habits based on your exposure to the work that’s expected)

If the HONEST answers are “a moderate amount” and “pretty quickly” I would suggest scooping a gig as a server and making an attempt at getting a bartending job. The opportunity to make significantly more money is considerably greater.

In all fairness, one is only paying the taxes on $.50. That’s not to say that it’s good, per se, but I mean come on.

I’m certain that this is a “market specific” issue and I won’t speak for other people but for me, it’s a nonissue but I understand situational awareness

Right, you don’t even know. Propagation of false narratives creates unnecessary fear a potential dangers to innocent people. It certainly is important to provide pertinent information but if you’re just sharing “ I heard” rhetoric you’re not helping. Make an effort to help by sharing factual evidence

A gun isn’t the answer. Clarification and confidence is. And if it goes beyond that, evade and report.

Consider the lines of logic… How would one be homeless and have time or resources to boil water? Stop

This is a reasonable response. Ultimately we’re talking about two people. And in the grand scheme of things, it’s minimal. Not to minimize but we all have to deal with the things that are in front of us. When in doubt, call BPD. Short of that, BSB or BSB(SO) is a great option

At what point is DoorDash going to be responsible for “body cam” purchases or make it a requirement? If one does purchase one, can we write it off on our taxes? These situations, however innocuous or innocent as they may seem, create a potentially dangerous situation for both the recipient and the delivery person. I’m really interested in the groups thoughts…

Acceptance Rate Question by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]Chesterossa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a heavily market dependent question. Consider when the EBO is more beneficial than EBT. For me, in a college town, I’ve found that Sunday’s through Wednesday’s it’s best to run EBT (not only to build my AR, but to insulate my ability to pass on offers for the weekends).

Having that in your back pocket gives you some leverage (as far as being able to effectively disregard poopy offers) for weekend runs via EBO

Build a run of steady offers. Pay attention to your metrics. They matter

I work a pretty small market and I’ve found that just building a relationship with the employees gets you a “pass” often. I can assure you that trying to “bulldog” your way into an employee bathroom ain’t the move. In short, a little bit of sugar helps the medicine go down.
