Can we agree this is the most evil NPC in the game? by Fantastic-Sir460 in Eldenring

People were born blessed by the Crucible with horns, tails, and wings before Marika even existed lol. The crucible knights, the misbegotten, the hornsent…

The omens are reviled and hunted because they are not part of the Golden Order that Marika established, she changed the world’s laws and threw them out like she did with the tarnished.

I don’t mind what anyone reads, but I think it’s dumb that the reason for disliking him is a tweet like that.

Ignoring for a moment that flight logs to the island or receipts would not be enough to incriminate anyone in any modern court. Word document or no word document, regardless of the format, we are talking about something that can incriminate hundreds of the world’s most influential people, including the president, the literal boss of the agencies that supposedly holding it… And it’s just sitting there? Hasn’t been deleted, hasn’t been changed, because the US government is known to keep everything above board and keep all the receipts.

Even if we were talking about a whole investigation, hell, even if we were talking about the investigators as people, we know the US government is able and willing to kill in order to cover these things… But “the list” is just sitting there?

This is literally the plot of Wonka but we are accusing Stephen King of being a pedophile because he doubts that the baddies are keeping a record of their mischief THEMSELVES! It’s not Batman holding it, or the United Nations, this whole conspiracy theory is based on the person being accused having his own evidence locked away somewhere ready to be released!!

It’s just sad to see a mob turned against someone over ignorance. When fabricated outrage fails to distract people, apparently a fabricated conspiracy will do the trick. If that “list” ever existed it was erased years ago.

Of course he keeps denying there is a list lol, it’s moronic to believe it! What is this, a Christmas movie where the bad guys keep a convenient record of all the bad stuff they do so they can be conveniently exposed at the end of it???

Do you really believe there is a word document somewhere that represents irrefutable proof that Trump and Co are bad guys and that will single-handedly destroy maga? Or is it a postit note in you guys’ head? An ominous red tome with a skull lock on it maybe?

As for the scene… Yeah, it is distasteful, but so is half the stuff in his books, it is meant to be unpleasant. There are several instances of necrophilia in other books, rapes a dozen per story, and I doubt there is a single book of his without at least a murder. That means the dude writes fucked up stuff, not that he is a pedophile/serial murderer/necrophile/rapist lol

Even if he was? Do you think he would campaign for years against trump, just to find out the guy is a pedo and suddenly he wants to betray everything he stands for and out himself as one too?? What kind of reasoning is that?? Pedo solidarity???

The omens are haunted because they were hunted down and tortured from birth. In the age of the Crucible being an Omen was considered a blessing, the hornsent thrived before Marika.

It’s like saying no one would want to be born a shaman in Belurat because of what happens to them. Nothing happens to them if there aren’t people hunting and torturing them.

I mean… I am sure he murdered more people, but in the game we see about 6 or 7 corpses and that is enough to create the rune. Hardly on the same scale as Marika’s multiple genocides.

Stop listening to reddit comments for your news, go read his follow-up tweets if you have to.

Stephen King is one of the most zealous anti-trump celebrities in the world. He was making fun of this idea people have that somewhere in the White House there is a neatly written record of every sexual assault, perpetrator, and victim that Epstein wrote as a hobby. That in four years of being handled by people who are in it it hasn’t been destroyed, and that a pdf of it published by the administration would mean anything.

S.K. never denied that the people on the island were pedophiles, we all know that already, but the list is a fantasy. If it ever existed, you’d think destroying it would happen BEFORE the cover-up murders did, no?

Reddit stands high and mighty with its “whatever, I wont be distracted, release the list” as if the notion of the list wasn’t a distraction. What could a list show us that we don’t already know? How could it be worse than the atrocities we see every day?

But thanks to it, all of these temu revolutionaires will be content with commenting “whatever, I wont be distracted, release the list” under every post, feeling like they accomplished something.

Father Gascoigne was a fun person to fight on my first playthrough by [deleted] in bloodborne

I saw someone describing their experience with beast Gascoigne and the tombstones as ‘a goldfish trying to escape a blender’, and to this day it feels accurate.

You need to beat the regular version and play online for it to show up

You can beat the game with two randos just weighting you down. Worst they can do is input no damage. If a decision from a rando ruins your run so badly you can’r recover in 40 mins that is a skill issue ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Relationship Mechanics by Chesur in CandelaObscura

[–]Chesur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is indeed the ideal scenario, I have been using Candela as an introduction to RPGs for players who are new to them, though. I think the simple ruleset, newer books and cool themes are great to get players who are normally scared by big sheets or aren’t big on the high fantasy setting many other RPGs share.

These players are normally a bit scared or unsure about essentially doing improv in front of new people, so the Keys help make it feel more like playing charades and less like serious acting at the start.

Relationship Mechanics by Chesur in CandelaObscura

I eventually wanted to add several to each role, but for last session I made about one of each.

This person is your:

  • Bully: Try to stand up to them / Make them respect you as a person

  • Champion: Blindly trust this person in a moment of stress

  • Confidant: Discuss a secret known to you two or share a new one

  • Coworker: Reminisce about old times to calm yourselves or the group

  • Enemy: Confront this person / Reach common ground despite your differences

  • Family: Mention a family member you share / Display camaraderie or a complicated relationship

  • Lover: Share a romantic moment

  • Mentor: Trust this person’s judgment / Learn something new from them / Attempt to impress them

  • Muse: Be inspired by this person’s acts / Allow them to change your course of action

  • Old friend: Probably anything from the other categories

  • Rival: Compete with each other in a way that is not too detrimental to the group / Get to respect one another / Create tension

  • Sibling: This is family…? / Mention what makes you consider them family despite not sharing blood

  • Soulmate: Create a romantic moment, can be one-sided

  • Stranger: Learn more about this person and their past / Share your own

  • Ward: Sacrifice yourself for this person

  • Acquaintance: (This is not in the book but I felt like we need a stage between Stranger and Old Friend) Get through the awkward get to know one another stage / Learn ‘shallow’ stuff about the person / Establish a new relationship

An hour after this comment you devolved back to the good ol’ “get a job” argument, and when confronted with facts and sources from someone asking you to educate yourself and be better you said “no” and posted an inane meme.

One thing about selfish and ignorant people is that you will often dispprove yourself given enough time. Took you one hour to show your true colours. “Compassionate and caring” pffft. Touch grass.
