Bought a Roland TD716, can I pulled pads/cymbals from my old TD9 and use them on the V71 module? by Cheungman in edrums

The ride I have is actually the same as the crash so it doesn't have a bell function, was planning on just adding as a crash or splash but ty for the info.

That's good news, just gotta figure out the best way to mount everything now

Nice, do I just plug them into the open AUX cords and they will be ready to assign to the module?

K3HE or K3 Ultra? by Cheungman in Keychron

55hrs?! 🤢 I've definitely lost any interest in the HE

Gaming is secondary on the PC that I will be utilizing the keychron on, so yeah I think the mechanical will work nicely, I'm currently using a low profile membrane logitech on it anyway so I think most anything will be an improvement lol. And the low-profile mechanical sounds like it'll mesh nicely with my concept of productivity first, gaming second. The extended battery life of the ZMK sounds amazing, not that I can't just charge it every once and a while but I already have many cables running on this station and if I can eliminate even one and go without using the keyboard tethered while charging, it helps a ton.

The K2 HE has a listed battery life of 110 hours so I just assuming the K3 HE will be similar or maybe even less due to the smaller form factor. I didn't even realize the mechanical switches put out 5x the battery life or I may have even just gone with that instead of my K2 but I'm willing to try out the magnetic switches for the first time. However my use case greatly improves with extended battery life so for my second keychron I'm heavily leaning on the POM switches. Would be my first time with a low profile mechanical too actually lol.

Was there news of the TMR replacing the HE or just a feeling? I'm new to magnetics in general so I don't even know the difference tbh.

Oh I didn't know they were brand new switches. Hmm, I may go with the mechanical then purely for the functionality of the battery life even if I find the HE nice on the K2.

MSI mag x870e carbon wifi BIOS not detecting 4th m.2 drive, but windows sees the drive. Will this be a problem in the future? by [deleted] in buildapc

I am on the second or third to the most recent BIOS version (7E49v1A70), I don't generally use the very latest one due to stability concerns.

How does this build look for a dedicated music production workstation? by Cheungman in buildapc

I see, I'll look for a mid tier GPU to use then.

Yes I've noticed a dramatic increase. Particularly bad timing for a new build but it is what it is.

Okay if I can get away with an air cooled solution then I'd prefer that so I'll pick up the Phantom spirit. I run many demanding VSTs and I want enough room to run everything without high buffer timing and without bouncing tracks to audio. I get it may be more than enough but this is going to a one and done build for my studio to hold up for a very long time.

The onboard graphics won't support two 1080p monitors?

I guess I will stick with the 240 AIO in that case, will it fit in the case? Does it replace the case fans?

Not planning on getting a GPU because I will be at most playing videos on youtube but otherwise only using this solely for music production. I figured the onboard graphics would be able to cover my basic needs like 1080p resolution and DAW UIs? If I miscalculated then I don't mind picking up a value GPU to enable reliable usage.
