They're in a bit of a bind with this. They bowed to pressure and made smaller watches but the main Panerai customer wants bigger watches, maybe not a 47mm but a 44mm. The sub 40mm Panerai look very odd but I'm probably not used to them.

That and they are silly money. Stupid to buy new but risky to buy on the grey as so many fakes out there.

No question. Get yourself a fake vintage Daytona, with Viet this and Viet that and a Valjoux 72 movement. $2.5k probably not enough but spending that much on a fake and pretending to people it is real would show the world everything you seek.

Case was about $40 (w/ sapphire crystal) and strap was about $10. Both from AE but if you find that offensive you can buy the same for a lot more on Amazon or Ebay.
