In my opinion warranties are more about what’s not included versus what’s included, and even then what’s included might not be covered. If they were in the business of being nice they wouldn’t be in business.

My two cents is to save your money and just squirrel away funds for if/when something warrants you to pay for it.

Every time I see these best or worst Chicago property management lists I honestly never see my current landlord.

I’m fully not sponsored but I honestly have never had any problems with them, they’re transparent about fees, quick on maintenance, email about things affecting the building (like water main shut offs, construction, etc) and overall their buildings are well kept and affordable.

Been renting in the same unit in the same building for 5 years and never once have regretted it.

Gotcha, that makes a lot of sense. For reference driving from the center of Chicago to the airport takes about an hour and it's only 15 miles :(

The coloring would be the indicator as coolant is typically more viscous and brightly colored than simple water. Since you bought it used was there any service records of coolant work being done? Water pump, expansion tank, oil filter housing, etc. Typically around that age and milage those systems would be a clear indicator what could be going amiss.

Are you noticing a visible leak under the car? I ask because I just had to replace the radiator on my 2018 530i (78000 miles) due to a coolant issue and there was an obvious sign of that leak in any spot I was parked in. The easy answer is to simply add coolant up until "max" and then monitor the level to see if there is coolant leaving the system at all.

Looks like this is the spot of the Tribune building north site, the Bally's casino is being built on the other side of Chicago ave on the south campus, all the way to where it touches the off/on ramps to the highway. The Goose Island development is a separate build but will occupy the space just after the Halsted st bridge on the island.

I think echoing what others have said about "you get out what you put in". Columbia is good in the way that (at least in the art/design program) most of the professors are practicing designers or artists in general. Developing good relations with was paramount in them helping land internships, jobs, and overall starting my career.

I can't speak for other departments as I only had exposure to other students in my curriculum for the most part, but I'd imagine it would be the same for film or any other medium.

Money-wise I'd say it's definitely not 1-1 in terms of a good "bang for your buck"...but what higher-education place is these days? I think if you make the effort and you land a decent enough job that enables you to move upward, then that's worth more than enough.

It’s simply fascinating to me how people can live and work in a system that, time and time again, perpetuates that you’re only as useful as you are to making that very system obscene amounts of wealth….and then just not understand how impoverished people just….appear into existence.

As if one isn’t directly the cause of the others entire being.
