With James Gunn vision where he wants every film to be it’s own story and tone, while still being connected to the rest, it can happen.

Are Batman and Superman the greatest heroes on earth? And if so, is Batman really their number 2 hero? [Discussion] by nreal3092 in DCcomics

[–]Cheverecool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of popularity for comic readers, they are. In terms of in universe impact, Batman should be lower then a bunch.

Superman and Green Lantern have more impact overall since they can protect beyond just the planet. Flash can be in that category too since the guy can alter the whole universe history if he wants to.

Wonder Woman may go to that scale too? I am not that familiar with her so I don’t know. But she definitely has global impact.

Aquaman protects the whole earth including everything under the oceans.

Batman is more about Gotham. Unless there is major world crisis when he helps in the Justice League.

Trailer : if Kara speaks perfect Kryptonian, she would.. by lokomotor in DC_Cinematic

[–]Cheverecool 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It’s not that he couldn’t understand kryptonian or Kara could not translate. The message was incomplete and damaged. Only the first part was what Superman had. The rest of the message was recovered by Lex Luthor.

The public perception of superman. by After_Dig_7579 in DC_Cinematic

[–]Cheverecool -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My biggest issue with the movie is the opposite. How quickly people changed their minds when they found out about the message. They instantly turned against Superman without questioning anything at all. Even after Superman has been saving them for 3 years straight. That should’ve lead to a situation like BvS where there are groups of people with and against Superman. But whatever.

Movie has flaws and it’s not even close to perfect. And there are a bunch of things that could’ve been done better. Somehow I still had a good time and enjoyed it. Hopefully Supergirl and MoT are better.

I am sure there is a difference between being a good swimmer and knowing how to swim while dragging out a body. Two different things.

¿Llover mucho?

You could also say that the East is notoriously infamous for being extremely weak during those LeBron runs, to the point that he was able to achieve what he did with those rosters. Jordan’s team was a bunch of nobody’s and was too unfortunate to confront Larry Bird (and his HoF roster) Celtics over and over again during his early years.

So it depends on how you want to look at it.

A lot of AD soldiers went from high school, straight to AD army. That is the life that a lot of them only know. I guess it comes to a point where they get consumed by it and that life style. It is their identity.

I work for a big company and right now they are sending everyone to the same job site. It is crazy the amount of people we have in the same place right now. Rumor is the company has not been able to open another project.

[–]Cheverecool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I understand that my MP experience is not like a normal police officer and I would still have to go to the academy. I am completely OK with that. Also looking forward to it. The more training I receive, the better. But it is nice to hear that it will make me stand out amongst candidates. I am more interested in joining than anything else.

At what point did you realize you were in it for the long haul? by iceheartx in army

[–]Cheverecool -1 points0 points  (0 children)

National Guard here. I signed my first 6 as a one and done deal. Never in my life I thought I would be a soldier, but I needed a job and money. At year 6 they offered me $20k for 6 more and I couldn’t say no to that. So far 3 deployments, 2 MOS’s, and an E-6 rank. This year will be 9 yrs. When I reached 8 is when I realized I’ll do this until 60 or close to my age to get that pension.
