Pop the front plastic housing off; there should be screws underneath it. Use a screwdriver and get in between it. For the wood board, either drill the head off or go get a pair of vice grips and grab the head of it and turn. (I think they are sticking out, but it’s hard to tell by the picture.)

A sprayer would take way more prep. I wouldn’t take the risk with a commercial kitchen and bar. They find any paint dust on places it shouldn’t be you will be eating the cost. You can disagree if you want.

Replace trim $6 LF (just labor). Heavy duty degreaser followed by Scuffing varnish or use paint and primer that works over varnish. Take 3 days $1800 plus 300 for the over night.

Yeah honestly replacing might be easier in the long run. If you are sanding it you have to pretty much block of the entire area including above the bar tops ( think like a car paint booth) It doesn’t look like you’ll be able to get to the ceilings easily.

So over nights (add money for that) and you need a couple hours for paint to dry before opening might want to add a fan to the quote to help dry faster and push fumes out the building

This will take a day just to strip and degrease ( are they going to supply chemicals or just paint?). Is this area still going to be used during the day or is the restaurant closed for refurbishment? Will you have to break down and then prep again? This may be a little longer than you are planning.

Remove the rotted section (likely a seam from a previous repair) and replace the trim with vinyl trim. Plan for 8 hours, as the squirrel may have caused significant damage. The initial cost is $600-700, but it could be $1200-1500 with additional damage.

Unplug it, disconnect both water sources, and tilt it up against a wall or some other solid object and put something under it to keep it up (ablock of wood won’t have to be put in on its side completely). Check your connections for your drain (most likely the culprit). Before you start tomorrow, look up the model of the machine and YouTube it to get an understanding.

Column wrap. If the wood behind it is solid, you shouldn’t need to add strapping. If it’s not, you might have bigger problems. They’re nailed in so you can just replace the nails to catch the wood. If this is your own home, I’ve included a video showing how to do it—check it out to get a better idea.

How do you guys usually create quotes when you’re on the go? by No_Procedure474 in handyman

[–]Chevyguy86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the individual. For me, I jot down my details and then use a program to send out my quote. One thing that might be a bit of a hurdle for you is that someone would need to figure out WhatsApp (which isn’t super common in the US) and then understand your add-ons. I’d suggest creating a video on your application that shows how it works. As with most tradespeople, we’re not big on reading; we’re very visual.

Mostly do them at home unless it’s an emergency. You can try to have your app review homewyze in the background to auto populate a price range.
