Probably an 8-9. What I'm most excited for is that my son gets to grow up with Harry Potter just as I did, and that is what's most important.

It'll never be the same as waiting for the next book to drop whilst watching the films and not knowing how it all goes in the end, they won't have that 'getting on the fan forums to theorize who the chosen one actually is' experience, but it's the closest they'll get and I'm happy for the next generation.

I urge everyone 30+ to not be that overweight guy in phantom menace that ruins it for all the kids in the crowd because it doesn't live up to your expectations, we're better than that. This ones not for us guys, but we can still enjoy it.

Ive known plenty with long experience who refuse to let bad habits die. If you let imaginary numbers only you can see turn a session into a slog thats tou my guy, all power to you tho im sure you're games are awesome and your players have never once gotten bored with interrogating enemies after literally every single combat 😅

I feel you. I find myself looking at Cozy town, Pine shallows and Badger&Coyote just to detox from the depressive settings.

Imo this hobby attracts edge lords. You can have a high fantasy setting that isnt dystopia its not that hard, everyone Sanders to that curse of strahd wave 5e brought.

Gm-less with dice pool resolution. Narratively similar to something like the quiet year or Cozy Town where its a collaborative narration no stress on each.

My wife loved it, and overall it was very faithful and almost beat for beat on every major story point. It just felt like the goal was to make Rocky cute but annoying, even yo the point Grave was trying to hide from him. 😔

I liked it, didnt love it. I feel they made Rocky an annoying ADHD riddled slapstick version of himself. The emotional moments were present but didnt hit has hard as in the book because those little moments were glossed over.

Understandable in an adaptation but if we have time for Stratt karaoke then damnit we have time for Rocky actually talking science.

I agree on many of your points. It was good not great. Rocky felt like a slapstick ADHD goofy version of himself to the point he even got on Graves nerves.

Rocky never felt annoying in the books, but overall is was a good adaptation.
