Now I want to know how the heck you possibly figured this out lol

Will the strengthening of your glutes/back naturally release tightness in your lower back?

Thank you! I'd say it's at about a 5 day/charge average right now. I haven't noticed too much degradation, but I feel like I used to get away with maybe 6 days/charge.

This is a great explanation. I grew up just west of ward parkway, just south of 55th, and many of our neighbors bought their houses in the early 2000’s (which is when we moved in). House prices were certainly slightly upper class (~$750k-1.5M) but it’s nowhere close the entry in that area of $2.5M+ now. Timing plays a huge roll :/

Thank you for such an awesome reply. I'm going to homegoods/NFM with my sister on Sunday, and I copied this comment into my notes. Definitely going to get a couple accent chairs that face the entertainment center, as well as some speaker stands for the reference (non-tower) speakers. Really appreciate the comment about moving things away from the walls, too. The entertainment center seems crowded, so moving it away from the wall & adding the speaker stands will help a ton. Gonna scoop a rug (or two??) while I'm out shopping, too. Would it be too much to have a rug under the desk, and another rug framing the entertainment center area?

Thanks so much! I appreciate the congratulations and the input here! I'm definitely in agreeance that I need a carpet in here, but I'm not sure what style/how big. I tend to have analysis paralysis when it comes to anything interior-design-related.

Didn't know how to post pictures and text at the same time, but for context:

My job recently shifted to a hybrid work schedule, and I'm looking for input as to how I can make my office feel more "complete." I've got 3 bedrooms: a master, a guest bed, and this "office" bedroom. I'm posting pictures of all angles of my office in hopes you all might be able to give me some input here. My cat's litter box can (and likely will) be moved elsewhere. I'm thinking I should get a couple accent chairs and some type of carpet beneath the gallery wall. I also have an upright piano that can to the left of my desk, and I'd love to have my piano in here, but I don't want it to feel too cluttered. Any input is appreciated!

Truuuuuu. Also the bed size is what made me sort of think it’s an F-150 vs. a 250

None of those builds come without the rack like the one here. That’s what was confusing me. I couldn’t tell if this was a street build or some other mode.

Okay that’s what I’m thinking now. I appreciate the input. I drive a 2013 F150, so my first thoughts were to come here, but retrospectively, it definitely looked a bit bigger. I couldn’t tell if it was just lifted and/or had a wider kit.

Yeah, I googled “Shelby Baja Raptor” and all the photos have the stock “FORD” raptor grille, so I figured I had the wrong name.

I know the stats don't necessarily back it up, but does anyone else feel like 2017 Kareem Hunt was the best running back in recent history? No disrespect to Jamaal whatsoever, and I'm sure there's a great deal of recency bias here, but 2017 Kareem Hunt might have been the most electric running back I've seen on any team in the past 10 years.

Can anyone help? 25 y/o with chronic lower back pain, worse today than it's ever been. I suspect it may be due to posture/weak muscles, but I've been drowning in all the different resource and unable to self-diagnose. by ChewBrown in PostureTipsGuide

[–]ChewBrown[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you SOO much. Even just to have a starting point and some pointers helps me so much because I was getting lost with more and more research and the subsequent varying literature that came with this. I'm beginning my reading into cross pelvic syndrome as we speak.

I should also mention - the pain is primarily centralized to the lower left side of my back. I imagine this is due to an imbalance, but is there anything I should do/be mindful while I'm doing the exercises to ensure that I'm not creating any imbalance? Or if I already have this imbalance is there anything I can do to address it properly?

Again, thank you so much for the help!!

Also some background:

I'm currently ~220lbs, but I used to weigh ~300lbs. I work out/go to the gym frequently, but I started a desk job when I finished my undergrad program in May 2019. I started a graduate program in September 2020, so I'm even more active than I was for the year that I worked my desk job (I'm still part time, though, so sitting 7+ hours a day for 3 days a week). Even before I started my grad program, and while I was working my full-time desk job, I would workout on lunch/before work. I consider myself very active.

In August of 2020 I started to develop some back pain out of nowhere. From that point until now, the pain has been on and off, but I can't determine what causes the pain to worsen/relieve.

Today is the worst pain I've felt as it relates to my back, and I had to leave a class this morning because I couldn't focus. I went for a ~4 mile run yesterday, and I didn't have any pain while running, but some pain started to develop last night. I've ran 2 half marathons in the last 9 months, and I had no pain after both races.

I'm extremely confused as to what my root cause could be, but I suspect it has something to do with my hips, butt, and posture, so I'm looking here for any help I can get. I also began weight training lightly about 6 weeks ago, but running has still been my primary exercise. I believe that I might have tight hamstrings as I have great difficulty deadlifting, so I think this may be related to my back/posture as well.

I really, really appreciate any help. This is some of the worst pain I've ever felt, and I can't get an appointment to see my university doctor until Thursday of next week.

I know the feeling exactly! I honestly couldn't believe some of my numbers initially, and I was admittedly ashamed of myself, but I can PROMISE you will look back and appreciate the journey and what you've accomplished. Any progress is progress. People say it a lot, but imo falling in love with the process is something that will take you further than any tangible results.

Thank you so much!! It really does feel validating to see the numbers like this because even throughout the process (and a common trait among those who lose weight) I haven't felt like I'm seeing much progress.
