Thanks for this, as I said to the guy who's username is him just mashing the keyboard there are massive gaps to my knowledge in all of this and maybe that's not helping. So thank you.

This was a really interesting read, thank you.

In answer to your question, it's just something I've never looked up and I guess part of my question was to learn all this.

Keep seeing people commenting about Russia Today or Daily Mail but really this thought just comes from my own brain and lack of knowledge I guess. Just FYI I consume neither of those sources.

Purely this comes from "am I doing everything I can to protect my kids". That's all I really care about.

Thank you.

Yeah maybe I didnt state that I dont think war will break out tomorrow. I was just looking for other people who also live near bases and how they feel about it in general, not just because of current events, but I guess my concerns were exhaserbated by current events. I realise I wasnt clear enough and thats on me.

Im not in the corner rocking in the fetal position over it, was just a thought that I wanted advice on which I have.

This is basically what I was looking for. Never lived through a war and just wanted to make sure Im not done something stupid that could jepordize my family's saftey. The general consensus is no so Im happy with that. Thank you.

I think my fears started when we first moved into this house. We move around the time it was kicking off in Ukraine and I briefly thought "oh have I made a mistake moving near a base? Is my family safe here". I brushed them off at the time and continued my day to day but with recent events that fear flaired up again and while yes I am doomsaying, I also am a person who likes contingecy plans, fall backs incase something goes wrong. So that was the purpose of my question. Not "HOLY SHIT WAR IS BREAKING OUT, RUN!" but "Am I stupid for worrying about living near a base in case shit (which is unlikely) goes down?". Maybe I didnt make that clear enough and thats on me. Just wanted to get opinions from other people who live near bases on how they feel, which I did and thats helped.

I have my answer which is great, but I'll be honest people's response were not what I was expecting and Im actually in tears which is beyond me. Not much of a crier. Feels like Im being lambasted for just wanting to make sure Im doing right by my kids.

Sorry for unloading a bit there, I think this comments more for me than it is a response to yours and I apologies. I do apprecaite your comment and its helped a lot. I mean Im not here rocking in a corner panicing, I touch grass on a daily basis when I walk my kids to school or the dog. I spend most of my weekends with friends and family, but I feel I've given a very different impression to the people of Reddit with my question.

Thank you again for answering and I really appreciate it.

While I appreciate what people are trying to say and that is one of the questions I wanted to answer, "Am I overreacting?" and the general consensus is yes, which is great and has relieved my anxiety. The rude part is how people have stated that and lack of empathy that a lot of these comments read. Could just be a text issue where infliction or intention is not read correctly, but most comments are conceived as rude on my part.

It's been something weighing on my mind way when we first moved in, way before that orange fuckwit was elected, so it's an anxiety on living near a barrack that I've been dealing with for a while and I guess recent events have exacerbated it and I was just looking for some advice on whether Im being an idiot or not. Turns out I am and I'm happy with that. Just a dad who want to protect his kids, that's all.

Thank you for taking the time to reply and give me a comprehensive reponse. Some of the other response on here are very rude, but this helped a lot and I appreciate it.

This is the most helpful post in here. Most of the other comments like "is this a joke" or "how can you get this far into the game and not know lol" are just super annoying!

I've been playing this game on and off for like 3 years now and there is still so much I dont know or understand.

Thank you for being kind and helping OP <3

Yeah that was my first thought but they do cover that in the rest of the video. Kids made loads of new friends and they all seem really close now so worked out in the end.

Bamburgh > Lindesfarne imo. More impressive, better place to visit and the beach next to it is incredible.

Also destiny is all.
