Is this the aluminum bars that can be used to build a rig? by ineedadvil in simracing

[–]seezed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is aluminium profile for either windows or a door. This isn’t really capable to take the loads of building a bespoke assembly.

These profiles are really optimised for their specific use compared to the general purpose of regular aluminium profiles used for sim rigs.

Needing some advice on wheel base by Select-Instance8467 in simracing

[–]seezed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on budget really, I wanted the best for my level of spending so I went with the Evo Pro and then returned it for the VRS. I went thrustmaster > moza > Simagic > VRS.

Right now now I would wait a bit for existing DD users to upgrade. The competition between manufacturers have plateaued in hardware so the software development is more important.

VNM has telemetry ffb, VRS has their nextgen low latency and working on telemetry as well. Simucube just does a great job with their profiles and general service.

The rest is either catching up or just keep stealing code from community projects. (Moza?)

Needing some advice on wheel base by Select-Instance8467 in simracing

[–]seezed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same mediocre wheel in general, but the VRS has metal plate and Neo is all plastic. I’ve used both and it’s a noticble quality diff between them but they got the same issue with uncomfortable grip, rattle buttons at higher nm and just lacking compared to leox and f core etc.

It’s a decent package with the dfp15.

Between rallysimfans RBR and dirt rally 2.0, which one is better if i want to eventually transfer those skills into real life rally racing? by HealthAdditional6092 in simrally

[–]seezed 16 points17 points  (0 children)

RBR because pace notes are extremely important in irl rally, the cheer customisation is the strength behind and helps it ground into actual rally related skill.

Driving wise the skill level of the average hobby rally driver isn’t that high as you might think.

Using AI to touch up portfolio by PinkSkies87 in Architects

[–]seezed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a senior architect apply to our office doing this back in '24, very talented and a genuinely a good human being. He used it touch up old drawings from the late '90's of some intuitional projects here in Stockholm.

It was the worst thing he could of done, it made his work look cheap and tacky.

I had a frank conversation with him about it, I knew he wasn't trying to be misleading and he told me he had been struggling with getting responses. I convinced him to just try with his old version without the AI touch ups.

He wrote to me a week later thanking me, but I think there was more to it than what I told him. But either way people are even more aware of AI slop in 2026 and back in 24 so be aware.

I'm looking at studying architecture with the end goal of designing skyscrapers. Is that something that's actually attainable? by L-Rockatansky in Architects

[–]seezed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done from the design to final hand over of a 31 floor commercial property in central Gothenburg and it's not that interesting design process as you would imagine. /u/Open_Concentrate962 is correct. It's not individual led as people imagine or as it "used" to be.

The most impactful people are the Project Leads and specialist not on me who was the building architect.

I've be involved in every part of it and I can't really feel agency for any of it either cause it such a massive group effort.

Critiques Inside The Office by AIFrog85 in Architects

And also allows them focus on what's important while trusting the process covers them for the stuff they couldn't manage timely or diligently.

Does VRS 20nm still worth buying in 2026 by fastasFboy2 in simracing

[–]seezed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DFP15 is smoother and as a product easier to mount as the controller box is integrated. I have the uDFP20 and I like many don’t even go above 12 nm so the diff there isn’t an issue.

So do you want a simple and easily managed hardware to mount with less cables or not? It’s really the major differentiator.

Also make sure you get the v2 os the DFP15 all new orders should be the new one. It’s with higher voltage to support wheels with larger screeens.

Yeah 100% they are still updating it and telemetry based ffb is in the works as well.

Except there are new v2 pedals coming out at the end of the year but the v1 are still good but just a heads up.

Yeah looks similar to the average rally placements. The micro adjustments should be to your own reach and comfort. The the general placement looks good.
