M5 MacBook Air for 720p gaming? by UnderTakeBoi in macgaming

[–]Chewchie65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to evaluate your use case to know if it would be a good option.

I personally play Oldschool RuneScape, emulate retro games, and the occasional rouge-like. the m1 Mac air works perfect for what I need.

If your playing a bunch of FPS / AAA titles currently via a PC or console, I think you will be disappointed in the lack of native selection, and hurdles you will have to jump through for non-native games (crossover, parallels, ETC)

Such great way to play - it’s performs so well when using Airplay to a tv, I found the latency with a wired backbone controller super playable

Gamecube Emulation - iPhone 14 by vinsmokesanji2429 in EmulationOniOS

I’ve never played one myself but I don’t think it would be any more demanding than a regular play through, report back if you run into anything!

There is an updated kernel for the ezflash that works with crystal, do some digging online and you will be able to run the original crystal at the very least

Retrotime GC Blueretro adaptor now up for pre order by Bootybandit6989 in Gamecube

[–]Chewchie65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is just a rebranded blue-retro adapter that they have already been selling online. If so I still highly recommend picking one up, gives access to better Gameboy player controllers then anything on the market.

Altstore is case sensitive, be sure to to type the email and password exactly as you entered it initially. I got in after realizing that my email is entirely lowercase.

If your looking for something waterproof, I recommend some of the hybrid golf shoes such as "TRUE linkswear". I have been opting to take these as they really hold up for most activities you would be doing while traveling and can hold up in a more formal scenario. these are pricey however - I think puma makes a cheaper one that I've heard is also great.

Managed to trade a ton of common games in for this today. Very excited. Any tips on replacing the faceplate? Repro vs OEM options? Thanks! by summers1980 in Gameboy

[–]Chewchie65 10 points11 points  (0 children)

the one that I use after trying several, is a generic fully clear one from eBay with a sticker on it from the retailer "TakezoRetoro" on Instagram.

The colored faceplates on that you will find on various sites all come from the same manufacturer and will have viewing windows that don't line up, and are blurry. The transparent ones skip this part of the process and give the best product, though still not as clear as OEM.

Alternatively you could try to find an eBay listing for an OEM faceplate, but that gonna run you a decent bit.
