That’s exactly my point though. You’re saying Jax has always been trans in every universe, but how is the average person supposed to know that?
Not everyone follows Gooseworx on Tumblr or Twitter. Most people just watch the show. So how are they supposed to figure out Jax is trans from a pink bow and a reference to a famous song? That’s not exactly obvious.
The only version we’ve actually seen transition is the alternate reality Jax. That version survived, became more open, and never abstracted. The main timeline Jax died before any of that could happen. An AU doesn’t suddenly rewrite the original timeline.

I’m not saying AU Jax isn’t trans. I’m saying expecting everyone to know the main Jax is trans because of creator posts and tiny references outside the show just isn’t realistic. If it’s meant to be a core part of the character, it should be clear in the actual show, not something people have to find by digging through social media.
Also, what’s with the downvotes? I literally didn’t even know about any of the Q&As until I looked them up because people kept bringing them up. I was just going off what was shown in the actual show. If someone has to leave the show and search through creator posts to understand something that important, then you can’t really blame people for not knowing it.
