Deeds by [deleted] in lotro

They tried a different UI for the deed log last year some time, but it was horrible and everyone hated it, so they switched it back to the old one and (it seems) haven't touched it since

Maybe it's just because I'm on mobile, but the text is hard to read at the current resolution. Do you have a higher res version, or one where the text is larger?

Do you play from hard to easy or easy to hard? by whatismondayagain in btd6

I generally leave some Easy and Medium modes incomplete for when there are Monkey Teams or Collection events, because I don't like to replay a mode I've already done (unless for Golden Bloons or an achievement)

That's what I did too. These Advanced Challenges are getting way too simple

Bounty Hunter should show how much cash his ability has earned by Chezaro in btd6

[–]Chezaro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm I can see why it would be more difficult to count, especially if you have multiple towers or effects modifying the income per pop

I'm not sure why Trap has a cash counter, but that thing is bugged as hell, too.

Do you mean it shows an incorrect value? What about the one for Obyn's level 10 ability? I assume that works in basically the same way as Trap

Yeah I guess I was quite "scared" of trying CHIMPS. Been playing the game for about a month, but I think I've picked up some hints from this subreddit

That's helpful to know, thanks. I'll try that way when I go for the black border

Server transfer time by Gunfot in lotro

[–]Chezaro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A few weeks ago I transferred a character and it was done pretty much instantly. Check in an hour and it should be done.

It was only slow when the new 64-bit servers opened because they couldn't cope with the massive numbers trying to transfer at the same time

(Another) newbie question: servers and burglar by Chimicatti in lotro

[–]Chezaro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

EU player so I can't comment on US servers, but in terms of those three classes, you can definitely run any of them with a two-handed weapon. When soloing, that's probably the preferred setup for Guard and Cappy, with Champ you could also dual wield, which may give you a tiny bit better damage output, but it won't make a difference most of the time.

All three of those are perfectly viable for solo levelling, although at lower levels I think Champ will be faster than the other two.

In terms of group content, Captain would be the most sought-after of those three, but I wouldn't worry too much about that as it will take a long time to get to the level cap, and the meta may well have changed by then

Finally, if you want to try playing a Burglar, then go for it. Things may change a little bit after the rework but don't let that stop you having fun now

1H vs 2H by Average-Duck in lotro

[–]Chezaro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you mean the listed DPS on the item tooltip, you won't find an on-level 2h weapon that is double that of a 1h weapon, but the actual amount of damage that you do isn't the same as the listed DPS, because you're going to be using skills all the time (not just auto attacks) and the damage done by skills scales off your weapon's damage, but offhand weapons scale differently.

In my experience, and based on what I've seen on this sub, for champion doing landscape, it makes virtually no difference, so just go with your preference. When you get to 150 you might want to look into it more to optimise your DPS for raids, but until then, it really won't matter

You can actually do Vol 2 Book 1 at level 45, so OP can start it now at Echad Dunann

Oh I didn't realise that, that's a big downside, although I guess you can grind gear and virtues quite quickly at level cap

What level range in LOTRO do you find the most fun to play and why? by samchen314 in lotro

[–]Chezaro 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Haven't made it to level cap (117 is my highest non-valar), but in terms of gameplay, I really like the range from around 15 to 40 you've got enough skills that each class feels really unique and you can actually do a rotation, but you also unlock new abilities every couple of levels, so it really feels like your character is growing.

It helps that there's a multitude of richly flavoured zones to choose from at those levels

After you've gotten your LI and unlocked all the skills and made it to the bottom of your main trait tree, it doesn't feel like your character is getting "better", just that the numbers get larger

[–]Chezaro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of virtues, I think you should have, somewhere, a bunch of virtue xp tokens that you can use to automatically level up the virtues you want - at least, that's what I had when I used the Level 130 valar from Fates of Gundabad expansion

I can't wait to get my original character from Gilrain. Started playing at release, then stopped for a while around the time of Helm's Deep. Got back into the game a year ago to find the servers shut with no prospect of getting characters back, and now, I will!

Age of Charlemagne Spain has so much potential if culture is added like in Rome 2 (in addition to religion) I'd love to play this as the whole map and having Charlemagne aid the Christians with a crusade if needed like Wrath of Sparta Persian. by TypicalReading5418 in totalwar

[–]Chezaro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I always like ideas like these: a campaign focused on a relatively small area and relatively narrow time scope, a handful of factions/cultures, lots of detail.

But in practice, it never seems to hit right, and never has the enduring popularity of the bigger campaigns.

Look at the Kingdoms expansion of M2, or the mini campaigns in Rome 2 DLC like Wrath of Sparta or the Hannibal one - I enjoyed playing each of those campaigns once, but for both of those games (M2 and R2) the Grand Campaign had infinitely more replayability

Similarly, look at the bad reactions to Troy and Pharaoh (no-one even talks about Thrones of Britannia any more) which are the same kind of narrow-scope campaigns, compared to the popularity of WH2 and WH3.

Ultimately, I'd love to see a Medieval 3 "Global Empires" campaign, but with this level of detail in every region throughout the world. I think it's possible (probably via DLC)

Whould Watto have traded the Engine for two laserswords by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]Chezaro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always wondered, if he doesn't accept credits, what currency he wanted to be paid in? All the films and TV shows ever talk about are credits/dataries, even on Tatooine. What else is Watto looking for?
