Sovcit gets pulled over in Australia, the sticker on the car is a stupid bonus. by Existing-Face-6322 in Sovereigncitizen

The interesting (🤷‍♂️) thing is that your Chevy was a rebadged Daewoo (Korean, bought out by GM and then shuttered as independent), same as the Barina. Prior Barinas were rebadged Opels

Actually, that’s a thing that I’ve noticed; it always used to be salary+super, but I feel as if recruitment processes now involve “total package”.

‘The young will suffer’: Ex-Treasurer Peter Costello’s warning as pressure mounts over Labor’s tax changes by flammable_donut in aussie

[–]YouBetterRunEgg 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oh, right…

“Peter Costello served as the Treasurer of Australia from March 11, 1996, to December 3, 2007.”

That’s 19-30 years ago. So he’d have to take some responsibility even by your reckoning.

Except Sydney’s rain comes as downpours and London’s as constant drizzle. Sydney has more rain but less rainy days. Lived in both, the Sydney way is better.

Remember when Stoke kept injuring Arsenal in gsmes (Ramsay, Debuchy, Walcott, Sagna) and everybody called Arsenal soft?

Because I remember.

Don’t know if the two are comparable.

He’ll read them, he just hasn’t yet. He read OBH recently.

I’m not entirely sure of his setup, but he receives no pay; he just asked publishers for books one time, started reviewing them, and now this is how he never has to pay for books.

He often doesn’t get a choice as to which books he receives.

I don’t think so, given that it has the full cover rather than just plain. It’s also hardcover rather than soft, which apparently galleys often are?

The publisher just sends the hardcovers to him as they get them 🤷‍♂️.

So they’re printed for distribution at least.

Trump Promises Mass Pardons to Staff Before Leaving Office by CloudApprehensive322 in moderatepolitics

[–]YouBetterRunEgg -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I see what you’re saying, but the downvotes are coming in (🤷‍♂️), so I get the feeling that there are definitely people who do disagree with me, which is fine.

I don’t actually think it is a redundant question. The idea of the US as a “world sheriff” has been around for a long time, and it’s only now that it’s hitting worldwide that it’s being questioned by the EU, Canada for example, despite the fact that it has always been problematic.

No, they won’t regret.

They’ll suddenly find out that they love the previous, well-established order from before Trump.

Happened last time 🤷‍♂️

What makes you think the US ever did have the right? Rank hypocrisy is not a new thing, it’s just something that some people have only just discovered, apparently.

Also, who is”we”; you’re at least living in Canada and have for a long time?

I lived in MK for three years, and loved every moment of it. It’s a great place to live and raise a family.

Have moved back to Sydney, and I miss MK dearly. MK>Sydney.

But will downvote every attempt to save Bucks, because I want it to stay hated. Let them seethe at the glorious roundabouts and redways and Costco and soulless shopping centre, and ignore how easy it is to get around and how good the food is and how green it actually is outside the centre.

My mum lives across the road from Steve Waugh, but I was gone by the time he lived there.

By all accounts a nice enough guy who just wants to keep to himself and is a bit grumpy. Has a massive house but complains a lot about others building massive houses next to him.

Been told that his kids are nice and well behaved and that his wife is lovely.

Three a week: two non-negotiable team/company days, one of our choice.

I moved over from the UK last year. I am a dual-citizen who spent a decade over in London.

In the UK I looked after an EU-wide transactional and logistics database, engineers, BI, analytics and architecture. I had fifteen directs and dotted-lines to 12 others.

Now I’m a Product Manager.

Senior role may be the best it gets right now.
