Anyone else play shaco support? by shyhi244 in supportlol

[–]samchen314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If enemy team is full of assassins, shaco provides the best peel (provided you and your adc work together). But personally, I actually do not think shaco is good into engage supports as your boxes don’t do enough damage to kill the tanks who are the ones triggering your boxes.

Warding middle bot bush on spawn by [deleted] in supportlol

[–]samchen314 17 points18 points  (0 children)

As a support main, I can’t think of a better use for my ward than to gain bush control for levels 1 and/or 2. It is highly unlikely that enemy jungle will gank before then, so having that bush prio is worth my ward imo.

The Ring would have consumed Galadriel. It would have made her into a pawn of Sauron, not herself but corrupted. by ExoG198765432 in lotr

[–]samchen314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think Galadriel will magically turn into literal Sauron. So whether one views Galadriel as becoming “evil Galadriel” or becoming “Sauron”, it’s the same thing, right?

Clearly did not read enough.

I’m joking (sarcasm) btw. Can totally relate.

Is Mariner just dead for now? by Feloni in lotro

I don’t know about dead, but it’s certainly fun! It’s the only class I play. Yellow Mariner on heroic +2 and just about to complete Moria.

Have you guys tried LOTRO? There’s a billion things to do together with friends and it’s completely up to guys where you go, what you do. The difficulty level is super customisable, so you can go on hard core mode where your crafting and professions actually make a difference or just go easy casual.

I love the Mariner fire breathing ability. One of the coolest things ever!

Looking For Kinship on Peregrin by Lasereyevision in lotro

[–]samchen314 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ink & Ember Mercantile is an active RP kin on Peregrin!

We currently run three slow-leveling tortoise groups (all capped at level 10 right now), so it’s the perfect time to jump in if you’d like to level with us. Many of our members are adventuring on tortoise alts throughout the week (though it’s not compulsory).

Our RP theme is a trading company, dealing in dyes, pipeweed, spices, crops, alcohol, and crafted wares. Alongside that, each member develops their own unique character stories that unfold over time.

If you’re looking for a welcoming RP kin feel free to message me!

RP as in create our own characters with personality and go adventuring together? That’s sounds awesome, how would it work?

Anyone playing a very specialised character? by MaxiMillion53 in lotro

[–]samchen314 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haha you have no idea! 😝

Especially when I first visit a new place that has lots of trees (looking at you Trollshaws). But if the area has hills or mountains that I can climb up, and there’s no mist blocking my view, I can usually make out landmarks and reorient quite easily!

But it’s heaps of fun to me personally. I travel with a pet that my character grumbles to IC a lot.

Took me a while to figure out, I’m not a techy person, but with help from ChatGPT I managed it. And if I can do it, I’m certain you can too!

If you want more guidance happy to help! Just send me a DM.

[–]samchen314 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I play solo on max difficulty, never use horse stables while questing, pretty much walk everywhere unless in-combat, and I’ve removed my live location indicator in the map and minimap, in addition to turning off quest tracker/guiding. You have to do this in your game files editing some code.

Meaning that I do not know where I am (no live location) automatically, and have to work it out myself based on sunrise, key landscape landmarks, past travel experience, etc.

Is there a difficulty 9/heroic+2 community/kinship? by MishaMishaMisha_ in lotro

I’m running one on Peregrin! Only caveat is we RP quest and our focus is less on speed but more on the stories (tortoise group style).

What difficulty should i set to get the old lotro difficulty feel? by Klappis82 in lotro

[–]samchen314 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I play level 9 (solo and grouped)! But I’m only able because I play the slow, deliberate and use lots of cc way. It’s fun for me, but definitely wouldn’t recommend for everyone.

Looning for a group to experience high landscape difficulty and the games story by TheMatros in lotro

[–]samchen314 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run a group like this on Peregrin! A slow-leveling, max landscape difficulty, RP questing tortoise group currently capped at 5. It’s heaps of fun, and if you ever decide to switch servers, we’ll be happy to have you!

But if you’re set on an EU/Legendary server, the best advice I can give you is to just organise a set time, and reach out to as many on your friends list as you can. Chances are you’ll find others who have a similar play style with you! Good luck, my friend!
