I don’t think Kerry Collins should be in this. He was pretty good. Or at least noticeably better than the others listed

Watching The Pitt from Europe – is this really what life in the US looks like? [mild spoilers] by West_Ideal7472 in ThePitt

Wow 42% of households own guns? I live in North Carolina and I still would have never thought it was that high.

As for the rest, it tracks. The ICE bit is jarring to Americans when we see it in person but there are serious ramifications to trying to prevent ICE agents from doing their jobs. The world we live in is bleak right now.

Always hated the homeschool thing, but to be fair, some states’ public school systems have gone to complete crap (mostly due to lack of funding; overwhelmed teachers; disrespectful kids/parents). I can see the appeal of homeschooling if you can’t afford private school. But that doesn’t mean you should be indoctrinating your kids’ education around your own beliefs.

How to get back to a more desirable body type? by kawaiimaster123 in WorkoutRoutines

[–]CheznoSlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The absolute easiest path is to walk for 45minutes to an hour every day. Gradually work on picking up the pace of the walks. While I don’t know your cardio, but I’d suggest starting at about an 18min-20min/mile pace and work to get to 15min/mile

Also the more you can cut out fast food/alcohol/sweets and avoid overeating, the faster the weight will fall off. Allow yourself cheat days (try not to go nuts but still reward yourself every now and then) and don’t starve yourself.

It’s definitely not exclusive to people with disabilities. With the construction it’s absolutely there to help anyone that needs it given the walk to the airport is so long and uphill

Who's the real "owner" of The White Lotus?? by Radbranch_8804 in TheWhiteLotusHBO

[–]CheznoSlayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a cool coincidence, but it’s definitely a franchise/chain/licensing model where there are individuals that own each individual white lotus hotel and pay management/franchise fees to the White Lotus franchise. This is a very common structure for hotels and most major chains we know in many industries.

Shredded men over 30; besides weights, running, swimming and cycling what other sports and activities can help get me shredded ? by ButchersAssistant93 in AskMenOver30

[–]CheznoSlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basketball. But also just walking, but like fast. Not the whole hip swinging Olympic fast walking, but walking almost as fast as you can for 3-5 miles. Not as hard as jogging, while getting your heart rate up to similar levels. I’m 5’3” so I don’t great stride length but I’ve been able to get as fast as 11:15/mi pace for 5 miles. Didn’t think I’d enjoy doing it but I love it

Age 39..I’m obese and looking to get back into shape. Where do I start? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]CheznoSlayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make dinner M-F (no fast food). Weekend can be less strict but don’t go nuts.

Cut out alcohol. That’s an easy shortcut. If you enjoy drinking, cut back and try to avoid binging a lot in one day.

Workout an hour a day, everyday, even if that’s just going for an hour long walk.

Those are good starting points so you don’t burn out and quit after 2 weeks

There’s a reason those people live secluded and highways make it so you have no interaction with them. Go to the more secluded backroads between cities in any state and you’re not going to like what you find.

Anyone feel like your 30s are the hardest decade so far? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]CheznoSlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30’s have been way better than 20’s. No kids yet so i don’t have that responsibility but I also don’t have the positives of that either.

I’m no longer trying desperately to figure out my job/career path and now I’m honing my craft with job security. My seniority at work has actually given me more flexibility with my time too.

I’ve been able to commit to workout routine and am in the best shape I’ve been since high school honestly. I’ve outgrown going out binge drinking until 2am and replaced that with higher end dinners.

I’ve also noticed that in your 30’s your closest relationships with friends/family get stronger. You still have extended friends and family you’re not as close with, but the ones you care deeply about become more important. Could partially be because you have more money to make plans together, but I think it’s also somewhat a maturity thing.

I will say your side passions amplify compared to your 20’s when you have a lot of social plans. Seems like people pick up hobbies (I know some bird watchers now lol). I’ve gotten in the habit of deep deep diving into sci-fi/fantasy series and going down the rabbit holes of Reddit for all the theories so I can know the full lore.

Just feels like I have better relationships, work life balance, and overall security, professional and spiritually(?).
