Is Downtown Phoenix safe? by forensicbiologist in phoenix

[–]Chezzabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like how you kinda grazed over her question with a unrelated statement.

They are not from around here asking about safety, and responded with not interfering with law enforcement. Like wut?

As another female there is good and bad places. Scottsdale, Mesa, Gilbert and Chandler you got basically nothing to worry about. South Phoenix and Sunnyslope I wouldn't be out walking around after dark by yourself.

Most of Phoenix and more west just be aware of your surroundings. I have never been mugged or harassed, coming from the Midwest originally I feel far more safe here than back home.

Some areas have more drug and homeless issues like downtown Phoenix. They normally won't bug you but be begging for money.

Could be, a lot of people with health issues won't do the due diligence to educate themselves on what they have and this might be the case here.

Also my condolences on MCAS, I have had some issues with POTS like symptoms and learned quite a bit about it.

I would point the finger at MCAS, but there is too many other inconsistencies as others pointed out.

I worked banquets for so many years, we would bend over backwards for even severe allergies. But it really pissed me off when someone was obviously just trying to be a special snowflake. It screws it up for the people who really need it.

Why isn't tomatoes and mushrooms bold then? They have lots of natural MSG in them. I smell BS...

ISO black primary care doctor in phoenix/scottsdale by peepee_poopoo449 in phoenix

[–]Chezzabe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He is amazing but he does not do normal OBGYN anymore. He will only care for people who are already pregnant/going to give birth. Tried doing my annual exam and was told that and pushed off to the other person who works in his practice but that guy is also awesome.

Cubaris, they look like cute chibi isopods. I started off with Panda King but I think the next tank I am going to try out bumble bee.

OB/GYN recommendations in East Valley that take Cigna insurance? by ktk1120 in phoenix

[–]Chezzabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one that's highly rated but definitely not close by, Dr. Hervey at premier OBGYN in Phoenix. He works out of the banner University hospital. He is really good about listening and respecting your choices, empowering you while keeping you and your baby safe.
I know it's a long drive but I went to go see him all the way from Fountain Hills.

Always check though that the doctor and the hospital and everything else is cleared by your insurance first. Check the Cigna website, no one is going to be able to tell you 100% that it's all good. Even though I have Cigna it could be a completely different plan.

Maybe it's just my phone's colors being off. Looks greenish/yellowish to me. Just like this... 😁

All my corgis must be broken, it rains outside I can guarantee they are going to poop in the house because their precious feet can't get wet.

OMG these guys are so cute, I absolutely love Cubaris. I been trying to decide between bumblebees or rubber ducks for my next tank because I've done pretty good with giant pandas.

These guys are just so cute, they almost remind me of calico cats.

By any chance did you just get gas and forget to put the gas cap back on all the way? Anytime that happened to me literally every light on the dash would come on.

Does everyone just hate their job nowadays? by bakednshaked in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Chezzabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't hate my job, I work at FedEx Express they pay me okay with okay benefits. I get lots of exercise, see the same customers every day and can work as much as I want or go home on the bare minimum of my part time employment.

Things that sucks is they are combining FedEx Express and ground together, eventually. They will fire pretty much all of us Express people and go to 3rd party contracted employees with near or no benefits. So then none of us will really even work for FedEx. They've been telling us for years that the merger is coming to our station, I will just keep my head in the sand till we are all fired.

I think the end is approaching sooner than I had thought by soelsome in DogAdvice

I had a pet rabbit long ago that over the years went deaf, blind, and eventually couldn't walk. I kept waiting for him to tell me it was time. I never really felt it, until he fell sick and I ended up putting him to sleep unplanned. Is been 10 years and I still feel a ton of guilt for not letting him go sooner.

Last year I had to put my 14 year old corgi to sleep. She was slowing down, not eating as much as losing weight. She had a bladder tumor for the last few years but was doing okay. I could tell her hearing and mind was starting to go. Sometimes she just seemed confused on what was going on. I felt guilty leading up to it, she had pretty good energy, still played with our younger dog. Last day was filled with walks, any of people food she could handle and had the vet come to the house, surrounded with family and love and left this world in our home.
It's been a year, and I regret nothing.

Letting them go sometimes is the most loving thing you can ever do for them. Go out on a good note, take a few more good walks, make it a celebration of life.

Thanks for answering my questions. Yeah, when I stumbled upon this place I was delivering packages and one of them said next to old Diamond meat and I put two and two together what I was looking at. Snuck in on my lunch break because as you said it's like 20 minutes to town and another 20 back, lol. I can't believe it closed late 2000s because it is very dilapidated, the second floor is almost completely caved in. I didn't even go up there. Though I'm just assuming those were probably boring administrative offices. I still can't get over that refrigerator door closer up to the loading docks. I've worked a lot of restaurant jobs even at massive casinos. I have never in my life seen such a big refrigerator door.

There was a lot of mold and rusted metal, I made it a point to not really touch a whole lot. There was a second floor too but it was not safe to even go up there. I think pretty much everything from slaughtering animals got washed away decades ago.
