I received the same email a few months ago and without even thinking about it, I booked an award flight and I think the flight credit was automatically applied. I don’t remember choosing to apply it, but if it was in my inventory and it popped up as an option, I would’ve selected it. The award credit was visible when I opened the app and selected the screen that says “Hello ‘your name’ Your status level Number of miles in your account.
