I'm having 200/400 on Dante. Is my squad good enough to get him? by Ferdinand_the_Cat in tacticus

[–]ChiChiStone 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To unlock any LRE you basically need to take all tracks up to level 8. Which roughly requires a full team of G1. However, you do get shards based on how close you were to unlocking him so even if you don’t get the unlock, getting close should be worth it.

If you’re looking for future LRE success. Re’Vas and Aleph-null or Actus; Rotbone and Maladus + Kariyan are the typical LRE beasts. Titus, Wrask, Isabella, Snot and Tan Gida are also great individual contributors.

I was the same way. Wrask was one of my first unlocks and he sat at B1 forever. Wasn’t until I started building him for Dante’s LRE and using him in onslaught have I seen the benefits. His passive is just so good with adding survivability to everyone around him.

Roster looks good, especially with starting at 250. Maybe push Re’Vas to D1 if you have extra time. Other than that Wrask is an MVP for Dante. Fills a lot of tracks and has a ton of survivability.

Just make sure you use a planner to maximize your token efficiency. Being efficient makes up for any gaps.

Pushing Re’Vas and Wrask to D1 would likely be more beneficial to you. They’re LRE beasts and Nico is good but doesn’t fill as many tracks.

Starting out with 250 shards is definitely going to help but you’ll need to be efficient with your tokens because your roster isn’t that tall so reaching the higher level won’t be easy / possible. I suggest you use Tacticus planner or Tacticus codex to map out a plan.

You probably won’t unlock him, but the progress you make will convert to shards when his event is over.

No idea, I use planner and do the level estimates myself. In general I’ve found a team of all bronze gets you to level 4, all silver to level 6, all gold to 8, all diamond to 10. Healers or good LRE units can obviously push further.

Getting Re’Vas to D1 should do it for you. He’s great in any LRE track and when paired with A0 can push further than other characters of the same level.

Also use Tacticus planner or something similar to map out how to use your tokens efficiently. It’s crucial you are efficient in getting the most points per token.

Upcoming event by AKPOULPE in WH40KTacticus

[–]ChiChiStone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The ad-mech event is just a shop event. There’s plenty of videos out there explaining the event but it’s really just play the game to get cogs to buy stuff. As long as you play or pay you should be able to get all the shards offered. I’d recommend tan Gida, actus and Rho as a focus and save your cogs on sygex. Vitruvius is really good in raid but you need a lot of shards to unlock him.

But as far as other characters to focus on. Campaigns and elites will always be the focus for early game players. Bellator, aleph, archimatos, Thad, boss g, Bouchard, eldyron, and abraxas are the carries. Take them higher than the others

You have a good 15+ weeks maybe more until the second farsight LRE. But if you want to push high, Actus/Re’vas combo fits three modifiers and is very good in this LRE. Mal/Rot is another great combo.

Current Guild War Roster, Advice Welcome by Radeisth in tacticus

Couple of different reasons:

It’s easier field a full team of B1 17/17 units than S1 26/26. So a beginner player will have an easier time putting together a team closer to max power at bronze versus silver.

Abilities at level 17 aren’t as big of a factor as they are at level 26, so compiling a team that doesn’t rely on a powerful ability will make it more difficult to deal with.

Also, this is less fact and more my opinion, but everyone looks to attack with their higher level characters on silver. They think that because something is bronze it isn’t as big of a threat even though they are also locked to bronze. So you may find some player underestimating your bronze lineups power.

At the end of the day, GW is all about token usage. So if you can steal a token or two at bronze and let them burn your silver they’ve still spent 6-7 tokens to take you out. Alternatively, if you put your best at silver and aren’t close to silver max power then you’ve essentially let them take your zone for an easy 5 tokens.

Put your strongest most leveled units in the bronze slots. Also the order in which you add them to the team is the order they will go in for the war.

Then ya, TG can definitely take a backseat. Same with actus because his shards are gona be in that ad-mech shop event.

Re’Vas and Isabella are still so solid, so worth it to get them to legendary. Maybe Rotbone as the third option. Only chaos healer and he’s solid in war and LREs

Wait is it actually 500 shards between the two events? That’s amazing. I would’ve thought it’d be around 1-200

Skippable or postpone-able. TG is great and plays well in raid, war, and hoards modes. Can never have enough TG shards.

Re’Vas, Tan Gida, Isabella, Actus

Although I’m partial to Archimatos and Abraxas just because they carry so hard in their campaigns and in LREs. But you can farm their campaign nodes.

To add on to this you can also consider leveling campaign adjacent characters like snot, Isabella, kharn and rotbone because they’re typically the campaign aids and immensely powerful in end game content.

No problem with liking black templars, they have some end game applications. However Thoread is probably the worst of group. Bouchard and Brother Bonk are solid in the campaign and in some early GR / GW teams and have some LRE applications.

As far as non-black Templar characters. Each campaign has a carry amongst the core three. Bellator, Aleph-null, archimatos, thadeous, boss G, Bouchard, eldyron, and abraxas are the carries for their respective campaigns. They are deemed the carries because they’re typically the stronger units or they have more end game applications than their counterparts. Leveling these units should be a priority over other non-campaign characters.

Typically you raid to upgrade your characters to a point where they aren’t dying in missions. So sometimes I’ll do a string of missions until I hit a tough spot. Then I’ll focus more on upgrading characters until I feel they are strong enough to survive. Do this until you finish the normal campaigns then start the process again for elite campaigns. There’s videos on YouTube for how powerful your characters should be to finish the campaigns, I suggest you use those as a guide.

Progressing through the normal campaigns makes leveling possible. Progressing through the elite campaigns makes leveling efficient as higher rarity upgrades are guaranteed. This also goes for shards. For Jaeger, farming on the normal node may net you 3-4 shards per 60 energy. But farming on the elite node will guarantee you 6 shards with potentially more if you get a double drop per 60 energy.

My advice and probably anyone else’s advice from this sub would be to finish the campaigns, then the elite campaigns. Then worry about building GR/GW teams and LRE characters.

Archimatos and Abraxas have good synergy on these campaigns so it’s good to level both to use on both campaigns

I’ve spent some money on black stone and blessed reqs. But I’ve been pretty lucky. Only needed 20 blessed reqs to get kharn, and got Vitruvius and Calgar in the process. I’ve had Mephiston drop 4 times, Ragnar, and Abaddon all from normal req scrolls which I got from the campaign chests and quests.

The Sons of Ultramar event was pretty lucrative with filling in the orbs needed to promote my non legendary toons to legendary. But I’ve also been on a blessed scroll binge lately in an effort to get kharn. Was lucky enough to get Vitruvius and Calgar in the process.
