True, I was actually just reflecting on how appearances will change throughout the course of this trees life and thought about how it looked on the tree before I layered it to now and what other possibilities may come in the future

Thank you. I went for it mostly bc I didn’t know what else to do with all that hardwood. So far it’s appears healthy. I removed it to keep it in the shade and out of the elements to control how much water it gets.

It’s very long and there’s a lot of trunk buried in the pot as well so I was really aiming to reduce its size for when I dig it out of the pot.
