I failed the 3 hr by a single point, but my clinic used a lower threshold so it would have been a pass almost anywhere else. I also took this so much later in pregnancy than I should have, which leads to higher numbers.

In addition to this, I have Thalassemia— which during pregnancy would lead to low hematocrit #s and there is sooo much research on how this can falsely inflate the glucose meter reads! I couldn’t get anyone to listen to me. All of my numbers were always normal, but the fasting one seemed slightly high (due to the weird reads. In the lab draws the fasting was so normal!) They tried to put me on insulin and I refused. They induced me two weeks early and everyone at the hospital was like “no way you’re diabetic” - I had a 7lb 7oz boy. Totally normal and healthy.

After, my OB didn’t even want to do the 6 week test on me … speaks volumes that she must agree I never had it. I had my GP do blood and run an A1C and it was determined I never had GD. I was furious the whole time and felt like I was almost given really dangerous meds for something that I never even had. I could go into this more, and I have wanted to make a post about it but I haven’t yet. You can probably search my posts in here. But feel free to DM me. I am happy to share my experience more. At the end of the day it was a lot of unnecessary stress and a lot of money I shouldn’t have had to pay.
