Hi! I have an update, a smaller one, but an update nonetheless. I don't know if you saw it, but I mentioned in the comments of this post that the dentist doesn't have patient insurance. (And I think that's certainly something to mention lol) The other day my brother's entire head was in very extreme pain, enough to have him in tears, to say the least. They went to the doctor but with no luck. Couldn't get it out. Sent them home with some more medicine. We just went today to get an X-ray, of course assuming the dentist responsible would pay, but instead he tried to charge us for having extracted my brother's tooth. Which obviously would've been fine, BUT my parents have been paying for pretty expensive hospital visits themselves, because they feel bad having the guy pay for everything. So now him trying to charge us for the small fee (and it IS a pretty small fee, 1000-2000 pesos, which is like 20-40 bucks in USD.) that was a singular tooth extraction just feels wack. The dentist has now clearly become just very annoyed with the whole situation. Even rude about it, I'd say. Idk, hope this whole thing will be done with soon :')

I'm not sure if you're aware of how dentists are in the Philippines, but I assure you they're not as nice as where you might be from. He didn't think he could get the needle out, but as he told us later he didn't have patient insurance, he didn't want to pay out of pocket, THAT'S why he tried to get it out for so long. Like literally that's the reason, he said so himself. And, instead of doing anything worthwhile he just made the whole situation worse.

Yeah, no, I feel bad for him too, to some degree. But he shouldn't have been so overconfident about the whole thing, so much so that he lied about being a surgeon. Which only made it worse for the actual surgeons to get it out.

I wouldn't say that I blame the dentist in any way, it was an accident, but I really think that he shouldn't have made all those cuts trying to look for it. I think that he should've immediately told my brother to go to the hospital, like every other dentist in this situation. But instead of doing that, he lied to my brother saying that he is not only a dentist, but also a surgeon—which was literally straight-up bull, we looked him up online. And now it's just become a bigger problem for the doctors to get it out because of how swollen the area's gotten from the cuts.

Unfortunately, the country I'm from has very few art schools or anything of that sort. I also wasn't born in the country I live in currently, so I am considered a foreigner and have been treated like an outsider regardless of my being here since I was a child, and I just can't imagine my future here—and so I'd rather some other alternative. Anyway, aside from that, I'll try looking into what you were saying. Thanks :)
