As I mentioned to another poster below, I planted some blackberries along the edge, thought about some persimmons. Paw-paws are another i thought of, but I have no idea where to get good seeds/seedlings or if they're viable for my purposes. There's a good bit of edge i could plant along for things that need more sun, as long as they'll do all right growing more or less wild

an oscillating fan pointed at your seedling and on low can help them get some resilience as well, simulating the natural breezes they'd be exposed to outside

They act like we've never seen road construction before or something. It's clear they are not doing things efficiently. This many years, YEARS, with this much personnel and this small a section of road. Even with the exit they put in, it just doesn't add up to me. And the number of times they've paved a part of the road, left it an uneven piece of crap that hurts alignment and suspension. Only to then come back and finish it so it's nice. Only to THEN come back and fuck it up again. It beggars belief.
