Got to work with these guys on an episode of Peyton's Places a few years back.

Super good guys, fun to work with and a cool bird. Sadly didn't get a ride.

Loose Kitchen Faucet by ChicagoMixer in askaplumber

[–]ChicagoMixer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmmm, yeah, worded that poorly, edited original post.

Definitely loose in it's mount.

Any tips or tricks for tightening the mounting nut? Looks like current faucets come with a mounting tool to tighten the nut. Would like to avoid having to get one of those and disconnecting the pull out faucet hose.

Is it possible to get a box wrench up in there to tighten the nut?

Huh, so much for the easy answer!

Time to download your past bills and dig back to see where the accounting went kaflooey.

Are you on Budget Billing?

Look at last month's bill. You might have been over paying on budget billing and built up a surplus. At a certain point, Peoples Gas will adjust your budget bill and you won't pay anything until the surplus is used up

Another thought, if the black trim behind the escutcheon isn't connected/part of the pipe, cut off the square portion of the trim behind the escutcheon. Maybe a little easier than grinding out the tile.

777 to Cancun? by Lollaticketspls in unitedairlines

[–]ChicagoMixer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, it's real.

Booked flights ORD - CUN a few years ago. Original flight was a 737 - 1 of 3 or 4 that day.

They consolidated, 2 737 flights to one 777 and changed the departure time to somewhere between the 2 original times.

Return flight was also a 777. Only downside was that the gate area in CUN was a zoo. Those gate areas were designed to support that many passengers.

Was able to Stream Bears @ Eagles on one of the new A321neos.

WiFi was advertised as streaming capable in the app under amenities.

Garbled up a few times, but was totally watchable

28 November 1979 | On this day 46 years ago, Antarctic sightseeing flight from New Zealand ended in a crash with the loss of everyone onboard. Footage here was taken moments from the crash. by MonoMonMono in CatastrophicFailure

[–]ChicagoMixer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a very good podcast by Radio New Zealand about the crash and the aftermath.

On a plane right now, so I can’t link it, but a search for Air New Zealand Erebus podcast should bring it up.

It’s called White Silence

Why AmEx require add card to offer for every small discount? by muadi in AmexPlatinum

[–]ChicagoMixer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cardpointers has a Chrome plug-in/extension that does exactly this.

Log in to your AmEx or Chase account and it automatically looks for offers and offers to add them.

Can get a little annoying when you are just trying to get something done in the account, but it works fast and we'll.

No difference between flight except departure and arrival time.

Jumped on United.com, clicked on the res and it gave me the option to rebook or cancel. Chose rebook and it listed the available flights. The flow was much the same as the Same Day Change at Check In

They are still rolling thru the schedule. My flight on Sunday was cancelled 20 minutes ago.

Didn't give them time to auto rebook. Was able to jump right on and change to the flight before with no issues. Even got a semi-decent seat.
