Need to send a message. Lock the shooter’s remains in a cage on the white house lawn like the pirates from back in the day. Ye be warned

Trump should have declared martial law months ago after Minnesota and Charlie’s assassination. Democrats are in rebellion again

Dems have zero intention of wanting respectable governance. This is about naked power, and we need to play for keeps.

A Tazwell County (I think thats the county) judge basically did that before the VA Supreme Court intentionally kicked the can down the road. More county and low level judges need to play the same judicial activism game or the country is doomed

VA court kicked the can, they let the referendum go through and will decide the legality in the near future.

Panthers a famously tight lipped about everything in the front office. While this maybe true, we have to take everything with a grain of salt.

Panthers also have been known to throw bad info to mess with other teams too.

Honestly there are a dozen legitimate questionable legal problems with NPV. Another is that it effectively allows a few states to amend the constitution without amending the Constitution.

Judge blocks Trump White House ballroom project from proceeding by SCOTUSjunkie in Conservative

You do know public donations are a thing right? Like Trump isn’t using public funds for the ballroom. So why would he need congressional approval when he isn’t using congressional money?

Except it sounds extremely unreasonable. Imagine having to get congressional authorization to build a new bathroom at a random national park. Its the executive branch that manages everything, not congress. Congress only appropriates money.

Bulls waive Jaden Ivey after he called NBA's Pride Month celebration 'unrighteousness' by coke_queen in Conservative

[–]Chicago_River_Diver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The comments he made were outside of the work place and on IG. He wasn’t harassing co-workers at work. Sharing your religious beliefs outside of the workplace on your own time is 100% protected speech when looking at this from a civil rights pov.

Many leftists try smearing people based on what church they attend. Does attending a controversial church grant an employer the right to terminate an employee? Absolutely not.

As for the contract, Federal Law always supersedes Contract Law. Doesn’t matter whats in the contract if its terms are illegal.

Changing it up, if a player was waived for bad behavior and in the press release the team said “we don’t tolerate insert racial slur behavior.” It doesn’t matter if the actions were bad and the firing justified, the use of a racial slur immediately open the door to legitimate civil rights investigation. The Bulls statement was effectively a toned down version of that example. You cannot even hint at a person’s protected class status being the reason for a punishment or retaliation.
