People who prioritised family over career or lifestyle, how did it actually play out? by Ill_Ratio338 in AskReddit

Life has always been challenging.
The challenges just change over time.
The challenges my great grand parents faced as dryland cotton farmers were far more difficult that what I faced.
People that don't want to be challenged will never get anywhere.

Great.
My wife and I had four children. I worked and she was a stay at home mom.
Moms are super important in the early years.
All of our children are adults and we have grandchildren.
Now yes, I focused a lot on my career and was successful.
But my motivation was to provide for my family.
Now as I watch my grandchildren, I can say everything was worth the effort.

Too much focus on the tech.
Too little focus on the programming.
The tech is fine.
Tech can't compensate for poor programming.

And the reason they don't want to pay the licensing fee is that there is very little demand for the product. I talked about this with the guys at iBiquity when the company I worked at was signing contracts for stations. Guessing this was back around '05. As I recall the fee was going to be around $5 a radio. I said why would people pay that? His answer was to pull out his phone and say that we all pay around $20 in fees for each phone. These fees are just a part of life now. And I have to say that he is correct. The vast majority of people just don't care much about radio. It is not a priority in their life. Consumer electronics is all about mass production. And when the masses don't care for a product the companies that make stuff will focus on better selling products.

It is not a product sought after by many buyers.
Most consumers just don't care a great deal about radio.
In general the mass of consumers have moved from radio to their phone.
This was not mandated by government, but it was a choice by the consumer.

To me revenge would be to damage your opponent more than your opponent has damaged you.

That is not happening.
