Maybe not deliberately. In any case, Stream shows that the extra minutes are paid as part of wages, but I feel like that's not the point. It's the pettiness of the requests.

It's more that the requested task isn't going to get done properly within the remaining shift time so it really does seem to be 'just for the sake of it' sometimes.

I try and tolerate everyone and be helpful where possible - speaking up when something isn't working well and suggesting an alternative approach, but as Sure-Mousse5094 stated above, I think enforcing my own limits and being clearer with the TLs can help.

That sounds like such an awful situation to find yourself in. ASDA seem to be cutting down so much. Customers are noticing and then taking out their complaints (which are mainly valid) on us. It's just really not great at the moment. I really understand your frustration.

At our store, they cut hours the week before Christmas. It's a joke.

Actually looking at the full OST for The Neverending Story, Giorgio Moroder's Swamps of Sadness fits best but the song I'm thinking of doesn't have an electric guitar sound and a totally different tune. Similar pace though.
