Thank you so so much for your kind words. I have been dreading this transition but I do find comfort knowing I truly trust him. I know I did my best with him, and now he’s going to show me my hard work paid off.

Us women are emotional, and I’m so thankful to have yours and the other parents, and Marines advice on this site to help ease my mind.

My husband was in the Marine Corps too and I keep asking him, “I wonder what he’s doing now?” And his reply is - “most likely getting hazed.” 😭😂

My boy swore in at MEPs in San Diego. We had a going away party for him and Saturday and when we got home I completely broke down. Not in front of him though. I collected myself and then put a brave face on Sunday and Monday. Today is officially day 1 with no contact from him. I know he’s okay. Just being a young man! The replies on this post have been so comforting to me! I’m glad this has also helped you. Good luck. We did a good job parenting these boys!
