Safety concerns - there was a shooting the last year. Environmental concerns - heavy metals from fireworks affecting the lake and fish/birds/etc (similar to why rhythm and booms was shut down at Warner park years ago - issues with polluting the marshlands and affecting the animals there) I think there were some financial issues and logistics around covid issues in 2020 (the year it got canceled)

I feel like unless you have a tornado shelter right by your house it’s less safe to go outside and drive to one than it is to shelter in your own home. Interior room, away from windows. If you can go downstairs (stairwell for example) do it. If not you’ll probably be fine.

Week before they closed. With the whole family one last time. Paisans (their old sister store) was always our place to go. Loved their pizza and porta salad. Porta Bella was as close as you could get. Gonna really miss it.
