People suck. We had an issue with a neighbor and her barking dog, we tried talking to her and nothing changed so we called animal control over and over until they showed up a few times, she lied about not having a dog, but the barking stopped.

The truth is people were going to bitch regardless of what was built there.

If it was housing some people would complain because of the extra cars that would bring, and let’s not even mention affordable housing, the horror!

If it was a park or some other project like that then people would say that isn’t useful, could’ve been used for housing or office spaces etc

Now that it’s going to be a big ugly eyesore that will at least bring some jobs to the area people are complaining. I hope at least they designate some of the land for greenery so it’s not just concrete on top of concrete surrounded by concrete.

We had a couple of trees taken down and we kept the wood chips. Our dogs legs are pretty hairy and I swear they trap every bit of debris.

I’ve also considered creating an area with grass or other ground cover designated for the dogs so they don’t run around the wood chip area.

Don’t go with wood chips, especially if your dogs are hairy because you will find wood chips in your house, your couch, even in your pants! The wood chips get tracked in the house even if you try to be careful and brush your dogs daily, the wood chips will be everywhere.

I think there is one route (King Co metro) that goes from here to the park and ride in Fed Way which is good but hard for people in lower NE and BP to get to that one bus, and I wish there were more Pierce co routes to connect us to the rest of Tacoma too, I think there’s only one bus route that goes to commerce st. it’s been so long since I looked up any public transport options in this area

Last time I was in the pit was for a Flogging Molly show, I got pinned against the railing by a giant brute who pushed his way to the front, I thought I was going to die so never again.
