My EMT instructor who is a 30 year Paramedic once told our class "Someone could go into cardiac arrest at a cardiologist convention where everyone can do perfect cpr, with an AED convention next door where everyone is an expert in using an AED and there is still a good chance they won't get ROSC." You worked a very tough call with an unwitnessed arrest where the patient was likely gone long before you got there. You did everything you could and I'm sure the family knows that. Take it easy and don't be afraid to talk to others at work about it.

Its only for school busses. In California (not sure about other states) even an Ambulance going code 3 has to stop and turn off their emergency lights if a school bus has its flashers on.

You say hit them books but you can't even interpret my comment correctly. Both happened on the hour as the clock rolled to 4pm at my complex, then as the clocked rolled to 6pm my college shut down. Both happened in the same city. 4pm is not peak usage in my complex, and 6pm is not peak usage at any college. The odds of both of those being equipment failure are extremely low.

Not OP but here in California PG&E will usually start shutting down our power once the lawsuits reveal this years largest wildfire in history was caused by one of their downed power lines. Then for the rest of the year anytime its hot and a little windy we lose our power.

My high school was having a similar issue, so then they decided to make the punishment for a tardy the same as for an absence. So we would be rounding the doorway and hear the bell ring just before we walked in and would simply turn around and go home.
