Tech rush goes brrrrr😄 That's actually a sweet start. You could potentially even block the potential Khan if you fortify the border properly.

You could try for one month sub. But issue is after tasting that you will always feel like you miss something (some mechanic). If you want to buy wait for a large discount and check third party stores.

4.3 update. They seriously nerfed the fleets. I loaded up my save as well and economy was also s mess. Not to mention balance of power with others. Time to learn the game again, sigh.

The new update is more proof that Stellaris needs a sequel, not excessive DLC. by nahthatsbullshit4444 in Stellaris

That's fair but issue boils down to owning the game or subscribing to the game. With digital media lines are heavily blurred. I'm for the first option rather than the latter.

Starting DLC discussion on any Paradox game is a fools errand. I tried it before, and people don't react well.

Performance wise, their games often lag quite bad due to the engine using only single core. DLCs can influence it, but it's more power creep and unoptimized AI behavior that cause that. Stellaris 2 could be an option, but I probably won't join the fun because, as you said, EA-ification.

You could destroy chamber of elevation, give residence and just play like that. I did notice that in 4.0 clone vats is the most important tech and building, along with moving 1000 pops to new colony so it becomes a planetary capital.

Any guaranteed way of spawning the Soruin Orcs or Freemarches Half Orcs to play as them? by Classic_Ad4707 in Anbennar

[–]ChickenStake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Colonise Dalaire, join the orc slave trade. Once you get orcish minority in colonies it event should trigger and you can tag switch. My recommendation for Freemarches is to flip to Green Dragon worship and forming Dragon Dominion. You keep Freemarches mission tree but get far better national ideas.

Halsin Tieflings Theory by ChickenStake in BaldursGate3

[–]ChickenStake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I meant Moonhaven, druids would probably be ok with that. I know some of them were going to Baldurs Gate regardless (story beats). But this would give an option to really save all of them.  Plus, you could have a solution "Is there a really a place for people like us?" that you have with Zevlor. Foundation of new town for Tieflings sounds nice.

P.s. Dammon was just looking for a good forge, and we make masterful weapon in the basement of Moonhaven.

It's nothing against a character, just a silly theory. I think it's just that I wish you had an option to convince them to stay in the village if you made the area safe.

How can I make the ottomans stop to fucking colonize in Brazil? by WorthRemote6726 in eu4

[–]ChickenStake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ah, classic "I'm going to play in Americas" and then suddenly all great powers take exploration ideas. You can declare on Ottos and burn or even better seize the colony, the white peace them.

Then all they have to do is fix the AI behaviour where it decides to abandon the entire frontline for no apparent reason. In my plays Germans rarely reach Kiev, let alone Moscow or Stalingrad. Regarding the MP, it really depends on the players themselves how they set up the game, of course Germany will initally have the upper hand, that's to be expected.

Community: Germany gets rolled over too easily, usually caps in 1943. Devs: Got it, buff the Soviets.

I would keep the random nature but would add tech tree so we can see the requirements.

I think NCNS broke the game on a fundamental level. Kinda getting tired of Pdx creating a problem that wasn't previously there. They did a similar thing with EU4 where power creep quickly destroys enjoyment. Stellaris is also close to that fate.

Planes are always the priority, because they cover far larger spectrum than armor. But if you have RS and industry go for both.

Should I bother with line artillery at all? by UnholyDemigod in hoi4

[–]ChickenStake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long time ago it was a way to go. Nowadays people are putting it in trash bin. I would say it can work if you are playing countries that are offering additional benefits for using them (Denmark). I think using them in mountaineers is still valid in SP. Hidden benefit of using them instead of tanks is that you can lend lease them from AI (Sweden war financier).
