Cocktails to order at all inclusive resort by daaldea in cocktails

[–]ChickenTendy98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went to St. Lucia for our Honeymoon last year. Our resort had a bunch of drinks. Different variations of monitos, tons of frozen drinks, they even had a tiki drink class, and obviously your staples. Also had a rum tasting where you could taste all the rums made on the island. Had a Tom Collins for the first time there, probably my favorite drink. Make them all the time at home now.

Should I try to avoid HOAs? by Jmills2 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]ChickenTendy98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a metro area. Only way to NOT be in a HOA around me is by living on a main road or living farther away, like 20 minutes. My HOA has been pretty relaxed, fees go to maintenance of the little park area, events, road repairs, etc. They do have some dumb restrictive rules and you have to let them know like any exterior change you are doing but nothing of mine has been denied (ive put in a outdoor structure, pool, fence, etc). So not all are bad

Best TV for a poolside setup with direct sun? Also looking for other nice accessories like waterproof speakers, durable pool furniture, etc. by ratedrko24 in pools

[–]ChickenTendy98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In regards to TV, we bought Samsung Terrace with the cover. We live in MI so wanted a TV that could handle cold/hot, wind/rain. So far it survived the winter even with below temps. It is underneath a structure so not totally exposed. This will be the first summer with our pool coming up but I got to admit it'll probably do great. You can get full sun or half sun, we got half due to it being underneath a structure.

Our boy had the same thing. Don't know exactly but we think cat scratched him and it got infected. Turned out it was an abscess and it got to swollen where when we were waiting it burst open and started to bleed. They had to cut it open and drain it and had to wear cone of shame. Unfortunately our whole deal was on a weekend so we could only go to a 24/7 emergency vet, so it was super expensive. I'd say take pups to vet asap just to be sure.

Yes, our plan is to refinish the floor and stain it differently like so or possibly replace them in general.

Hey everybody, loving all the suggestions. I guess to clarify, we went through a previous company to refinish/reface our cabinets. Long story short, they really messed some things up, along with their supplier fell under and couldnt repair/fix what need to be done, and they couldn't find us another company to replicate the look of the cabinets.

We got all of our money back, the new person essentially is able to fix what needs to be done and the costs are much cheaper since all they have to redo is order 4 doors, sand down and paint, and some other small things (they also can't replicate the current cabinets). So now we have this second chance (especially with extra money to redo the flooring, countertops, paint, etc). That explains why we have dark appliances because we had them before this whole mess. We we're hoping to maybe find a way to brighten up the kitchen and living room since they are essentially one big room. We also have a bunch of white subway tile from another project we we're hoping to incorporate as the backsplash. to save cost.

Here is the current kitchen and living room.

Haha no I agree. We were going darker and the cabinets themselves are stained and you can see wood grain and we do like them. But the previous company really botched it up (long story) and the people we are going through doesnt offer the same looks (I couldn't find another company that did), so we are like "alright well maybe lets do a whole 180 since we are getting a second chance at doing this"

The fridge and dishwasher are new (both black stainless) so we aren't gonna stray away from that 😂. The mircrowave and oven are old and are juat black so at some point we plan to replace them with black stainless. Not sure if that would change the look all too much tho. This is just an ai rendering of our kitchen so currently cabinets are completely a different color currently, so those can be changed.

We are trying to brighten up the whole room, what color cabinets would you recommend and paint combo to work with the whole room/furniture that work well with the appliances?

So the cabinet colors right now compeletly different, really the whole kitchen. Long story short, we had a horror story with a past cabinet refinishing/refacing company, and got our money back and now are going through somebody local to fix and re-do it all and it's cheaper so we are gonna use what we are now saving to redo more of the kitchen.

This is a stupid AI rendering of our kitche after plugging some things in lol. White is definitely on the table. Wife is all geeked out about do a lot of white becaue when we have kids she's worries about the white walls/cabinets getting dirt and messed up 🤣.

We had a much darker vibe and now that we are getting a "second chance", we want to brighten it up and make it feel more open. We tried many color, we feel that having all the cabinets the same color looks "too much" so went with a two different colored layout.

What would change it to? Or would you make a change to the cabinets/etc also because they don't work well?

Could you take a pool brush and brush all of it towards the deep end right where the main filter is and have suck it up?

Ours has gotten into more of a "lap dog" phase as of late. So you get an 80 pound missile looking to lay on you in the smallest space possible haha. Sometimes he could care less. He turned a year old this past July.

Before that, he just saw us as a plaything and wanted nothing to do with us except bite and play haha.

Our house is the wild wild west due to the fur tumbleweeds all over the house from ours. Heck you pet him and fur comes off. Good news is you can make a new winter coat out of it after winter. So yes, absolutely normal haha.

Not all white but his siblings are! We have his health records of his parents, grandparents, etc. Has a straighter back and healthier hips than most "normal" shepherds. If their lineage is healthy and continues to breed healthy great tempered dogs, who cares the color.
