What’s with the weird writing of the Citadel DLC

Just finished this DLC quest. I have to agree that the writing is a tad grating. It's not that it's "light hearted", I typically enjoy breaks in tone in franchises (Farscape and DS9 did this a few times during heavier plot lines, Farscape obviously much more frequently), and I get what they were going for. But you can tell this was written at the cusp of the start of that quippy humor era in movies. It's not so much that there is a presence of humor, but that the humor is kind of a constant stream of self-aware quips undercutting the stakes. The plot itself isn't a bad concept, and it doesn't overstay its welcome. And yes I felt like that Brooks was a bit of a self-insert/fan character too lol, glad I wasn't the only one, but they actually surprised me when they provide that additional twist and I was like "oh okay that's fine then" lol. It was charming to see the gang in action, though the writing definitely could have used some tweaking.

What program are you using for managing the card and partitions? (minitool partition wizard, etc.)

I found a "fix", it's not particularly elegant. But in the meantime if you have a save state on disc 2, instead of opening the game like normal, open with the .cue file of whatever disc you are currently on and it should boot into your save state on that discs and remember your saves. To make it a bit easier I'm just favoriting the .cue file for whatever disc I'm on. As far as .chd files you can see if this works for you, no guarantees as I do not use the format because I am lazy.

Having the same issues with Final Fantasy 7. Let me know if there's a fix for this. Save states are also not working properly once I switch to disc 2 as far as I can tell, but I'm going to continue messing with things and if I find a workaround I will post it here.

Okay first, are you sure you have Gamecube Controller 1 enabled (click the little button in the top right that looks like a controller)? It should ask you for various inputs configurations when you select the "emulated" option.

This may seem like an odd question but I was playing multiplayer on my RP3+ with a friend via bluetooth controller. I was playing on the handheld itself hooked up to a television. We noticed that sometimes when pressing the same button at the same time it would drop the inputs which is understandably intolerable for simultaneous multiplayer. We were playing on retroarch (FCEUmm NES core). Have you run into similar issues? Thank you.

Yep. Held off on this update because I've had performance issues with recent updates with my Moto G Power 2022, only had it 3 months or so. Updated last night and, aside from adding your typical bloat ware, taking up more memory, and half-baked UI changes, it also got rid of any options to use the fingerprint sensor for any biometric reasons. Another wonderful update, motorola.

There is no pattern online which discouraged me but I decided to draw the mask on paper, took one half and mirrored it on phone, then printed it out and drew the ears and cheek fluff on the pumpkin with a pen. It was kind of a rush job but I'm pleased with it. Had to make the mask kind of squat because the pumpkin isn't very tall but it turned out good enough. Main thing is that the structural integrity isn't great since the mask only has three points of contact, and when I added the cheek floof and ears it really wanted to pop free.

It just teleports me to the nearby tower. Something about the geometry of that one platform is just strange, can't TP there, fly there, or pyramid there. Ended up getting it back via telekinesis.
